Arunachal Pradeshis one of the 28 states of India. Arunachal Pradesh also known as the "land of the dawn-lit mountains. Literally it means the "land of the rising sun" in reference to its position as the eastern most state of India. It is also known as the "Orchid State of India" or the "Paradise of the Botanists". Geographically, it is the largest among the North-east Indian states commonly known as theSeven Sister States. As in other parts ofNortheast India, the people native to the state trace their origins from theTibeto-BurmanandMongoloidrace. A large number of migrants from various other parts of India and foreign lands have and have been affecting the state's population. Arunachal Pradesh has the highest number of regional languages among Indian states and enriched with diverse culture and traditions.
