ARIES (Mar. 20 - Apr. 20) Mars is telling you to be forceful and aggressive. Don’t hold back. Your energies are very concentrated now. Be your most direct because you’re feeling that this could be your last chance is all too correct.

TAURUS (Apr. 20 - May 21) The Earth is telling you to appreciate all her beauty that surrounds you. Enjoy the sensuousness of fine foods, music and art. You’re in the best part of the world to pretend you’re in another country.

GEMINI (May 21 - June 22) Mercury has a message for you this week. It says to communicate your ideas immediately by phone and by email. Say what’s on your mind. You’ll be surprised at what others thought you really felt.

CANCER (June 22 - July 23) The Moon is telling you to daydream this week. If you’re feeling moody, it’s because you can’t see clearly. Keep gazing into your version of a crystal ball and by next week the clouds will roll by.

LEO (July 23 - Aug. 23) The Sun is telling you to be proud of yourself. Let your ego soar -- you get the gold metal this week. Bask in the Sun’s rays, but don’t forget to use a little protection.

You’ve earned your reward.

VIRGO (Aug. 23 - Sept. 23) All the asteroids in the asteroid belt are telling you to analyze the situation. Look at the details. See each tree in the forest. Examine it under a microscope, but don’t linger, go on to the next slide and quickly!

LIBRA (Sept. 23 - Oct. 23) Venus is telling you that romance is in the air -- your perfect mate is crazy about you. All the good things in life are available now if you will only realize that it’s all right to enjoy the material world, too.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23 - Nov. 22) Pluto is telling you to change the situation -- you must destroy before you can rebuild. But like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, this change will be glorious, mysterious and life sustaining for you.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22 - Dec. 21) Jupiter is telling you to expand your horizons. Take a new course or even a trip. You are eager to conquer new areas of study. You will reap the benefits in the long run if you take some time to study now.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 - Jan. 20) Saturn is telling you that slowly, but

surely is the best way for you to succeed. If you do your work and plant the seeds for the future as you go, you will surely be rewarded handsomely. In this world and . . . ?

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20 - Feb. 19) Uranus is telling you that you are one-of-a-kind. Don’t worry that you are so different. Originality is your gift. Some will say you’re crazy but others will say you have been touched by genius. You know!

PISCES (Feb. 19 - Mar. 20) Neptune is telling you that these waters run very deep. Your spiritual side needs a quick cleansing, you’ve been picking up too many vibes from those around you. You need to be still and find your calm center.

NOTE: If you were born at the end or beginning of a sign, also read the sign before or after your birthday.

Coming Soon A Most Violent Year (R ) J. C.

Chandor (All is Lost) checks in at deadline with his bid for a Best Director’s Oscar. Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) and Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis) star in what is basically a gangster piece set in 1981, one of the most violent years in American history. It’s preachy and at times plodding, but there is breathtaking action sequences mixed in. Both stars are seeking Oscar nominations: the guess here is Chastain will get one, but the movie won’t.New To Theaters

Into the Woods (PG-13) All things Brothers Grimm are channeled into the faithful remake of the Broadway smash. Though Meryl Streep predictably gets most of the ink, it’s Emily Blunt who steals the show. Directed by Rob

Marshall, who knows a thing or two about bringing musicals to the big screen – he landed an Oscar for Chicago.New On DVD

The Expendables 3 – Killing has never been so much fun. The ultimate buddy movie seems to get better with each installment. This time Sly, Arnold and the boys get big time help from Wesley Snipes, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Kelsey Grammer and Antonio Banderas, all of who kill dozens of bad guys. Better still, a whole new set of younger, prettier expendables is introduced should any of the originals become expendable. It’s a hell of a ride. Now Playing

Still Alice (PG-13) A tearjerker showcasing the considerable acting of Julianne Moore, who plays a linguistics professor feeling the beginning effects of Alzheimers. It’s a tour-de-force to be sure, and should land Moore a Best Actress nomination come Oscar time.

The Imitation Game * (PG-13) If Benedict Cumberbatch looks familiar it’s because he’s been in like, a zillion movies over the past few years. He stars in this one, and it is a juicy role to be sure. Cumberbatch plays Alan Turing, a mathematical genius who helped crack the German code during World War II, and went on to become a key figure in the development of the first computers. His life falls apart when he is prosecuted for being a homosexual. Keira Knightley co-stars. It’s getting Oscar buzz.

A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night * (R) First time writer director Ana Lily Amirpour turns in a wildly inventive and delightful romp through all things gory in this pulp masterpiece. It’s being billed as the first Iranian Vampire Western ever made, if that provides any clarity. It’s a treat.

Reporting From

By Isa Goldberg

Watching Bradley Cooper transform into the The Elephant Man is one of the many reasons to see this Broadway revival. Far from the Hollywood star, Cooper incorporates the freakishness of the Elephant Man, John Merrick, rendering a portrait of his physical grossness that is matched only by his psychological deformity – his aloneness, terror and heartbreak, that is.

Designed in monotones of black and white by Timothy R. Mackabee (sets), Philip S. Rosenberg (lights) and Clint Ramos (costumes), the atmosphere is dark, pious, and clinical at the Booth Theatre.

His doctor, played by Alessandro Nivola, narrates most of the tale, and in spite of his humane efforts, leads Merrick to a tragic fate. Light and color only enter the picture upon the arrival of Mrs. Kendal, a socialite who

decides to take the Elephant Man on as a charitable case. In Patricia Clarkson’s masterful hands the relationship that emerges between them is richer, albeit crueler than anyone can anticipate.

Directed by Scott Ellis, the production points an unflinching finger at Christian hypocrisy. For Oscar-nominated Cooper, i t marks one eye-popping Broadway debut.

PocatelloIn a more quotidian role,

T.R. Knight (“Grey’s Anatomy”) renders a touching portrayal of a young man trapped in the small town of Pocatello, currently at Playwrights Horizons. Playwright Samuel Hunter (The Whale), builds his story around daily life at the local diner/Italian chain restaurant with its alcoholics, bulimics, and well-intended denizens, all trapped in a place where the unemployment is high and the opportunities are low.

For Eddie (Knight), still living in his hometown in Idaho, the situation is the most tenuous. Heredity and fate meld to a tragic outcome.

Director Davis McCallum finds the overlay of comedy, focusing on the ridiculous and inescapable problems Hunter’s characters encounter. Cameron Scoggins as the incorrigible waiter who finds sex on the kitchen

floor, and Jonathan Hogan as the grandfather who, despite suffering from Alzheimer’s, sprouts sage observations, bring charm to “La Famiglia Week” at this restaurant. Here, a family saga that unfolds simply still carries through many a long night.

The Invisible HandSet in a Pakistani prison, The

Invisible Hand plays with the suspense of a spy thriller. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Ayad Akhtar (Disgraced, currently on Broadway), this political drama delves into the psychological motives that underlie the embittering conflicts of the region.

The privileged and somewhat quixotic American banker portrayed by Justin Kirk “bonds” with his captors in an effort to save his own life. When Nick Bright’s prison cell turns into a trading room floor, the opportunity to turn failing rupees into millions of U.S. dollars stirs the demise of a tyrannical Imam (a sinister Dariush Kashani) and funds a revolution.

It would seem fantastical and nearly comic if it weren’t ultimately so futile for Nick and the country that holds him hostage. As is his wont, Akhtar drives it all to a dramatic peak, only to let fall what will.

The Invisible Hand is a New York Theater Workshop production.

For a little fella, Jeremy Renner sure does play a lot of tough guy roles but hey, that’s Hollywood fer ya.

It’s a sensitive subject, because Renner’s people insist he is five-foot, 10-inches tall. If that were the case, though, his co-stars would have to come from Lilliputia, because they tower over him in most screen shots, even with the magic woven by the camera. And that’s the female co-stars we refer to.

Renner sure can play a tough guy, though. He earned a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his role in The Hurt Locker in 2009, and earned a Best Supporting Actor nod the next year for his role as a murdering bank robber in The Town.

Sharp-eyed film lovers will spot the young Renner in many films produced much earlier. He played a partying high schooler in National Lampoon’s Senior Trip in 1995, was on numerous TV shows, and oh yeah, did we mention he is a musician? Renner sings, plays guitar, keyboards, and drums, and writes songs. He fronted a band, “Sons Of Ben,” and can be heard on several movie soundtracks including The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

Renner, from Modesto, took up acting in college and broke into the business as a make-up artist. After Hurt Locker, it’s safe to say his make-up days are behind him. He was inundated with offers and chose American Hustle, a multiple Oscar winner. He is finishing off roles in the next Avengers movie and will also reprise his recurring role in Mission Impossible 5.

Did we mention Renner has his own house renovation business and is an expert at martial arts?So how tall is he? Websites have tried comparing him to other movie stars when they are filmed together.

Renner is noticeably shorter than Tom Cruise, who is listed at five-nine – but he’s nowhere close to that. In Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol Paula Patton, the duo’s co-star, appears to be at least as tall as both men. Her people say she is five-foot, four inches – but insiders say she is considerably smaller in real life.

Ingredients (serves 4)10 eggs

1/4 c cream1/4 c grated Parmesan cheese

1 white onion sliced thin1 c shredded Gruyere cheese

8 oz. bag of mixed greens2 tbsp sour cream2 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tbsp olive oil1 tbsp cider vinegar

pinch of Old Bay seasoningsalt and pepper to taste

dash of your favorite hot sauce

Caramelized Onion And Gruyere Frittata

MethodSauté the thinly sliced onions

in a hot pan with a little oil until caramelized.

Crack all the eggs into a mixing bowl, add the Parmesan cheese, cream, salt, and pepper, then whisk together.

Heat a deep sauté pan, add a touch of oil and the egg mixture.

Continuously stir the eggs in the pan with a rubber spatula as if making scrambled eggs. Once the eggs begin to firm up, remove the pan from the heat and form

the slightly loose eggs into a round shape in the pan.

Add the caramelized onions and Gruyere cheese, place in a 350 degree oven and bake for 7 minutes.

While the frittata is baking, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar, olive oil, and

Old Bay to make a cool dressing for your side salad of greens. When the frittata is cooked, slide it out of the pan with a rubber spatula onto a cutting board.

Slice and serve with the salad and a drizzle of dressing and some hot sauce.
