The Artisans in Motion (AiM) training academy recognizes that the biggest opportunity for employment in South Africa lies in training artisans. All industrial, mining and infrastructure development initiatives are reliant on competent, qualified artisans to build and grow our economy Artisans in Motion forms part of the Signa Group’s vision of enabling skills and creating jobs. Furthermore, we believe that high quality, accredited artisan training is core to mobilizing the South African workforce. The vision of growing the volume of artisan skills meets two objectives: Enabling a skilled artisan workforce to meet various industries’ capacity needs; Growing a skills base that can contribute to establishing township economies The Artisans in Motion training academy (formerly known as Sappi and then Enstra Learning and Development Centre), was established and officially opened in 1983. It is situated in the Enstra Industrial area in Springs, 40 km east of Johannesburg in Ekurhuleni Gauteng. AiM is a SETA Accredited Skills Development Provider and offers Accredited Learnerships and Apprenticeship programmes. Our facilitators are professionally qualified trainers and registered Assessors and Moderators. AiM has the capacity to deliver on-site and off-site artisan training that meet our clients’ needs.
