Plan for Article On my double page spread I will have an article. It will be an ‘expose’ magazine article that reveals all about a fictional male artist. The article will be heavily influence by R’n’B / Hip-hop genre of music to reflect the subgenre of my whole magazine. There will be words that connote with this genre that only specific listeners will relate to. I have chosen an Expose instead of an interview as from looking at example double page spread articles with music it is often written ion third person with pronouns such as ‘he’ ‘she’ ‘they’, with little opinion expressed, more commonly views as a whole i.e ‘the iconic Jay-Z, the man with the Blueprint to Hip-Hop’ or ‘Michael Jackson the moon walker’ Also by having an Expose the layout looks more professional to me as it is often in one colour. Although the text is broken down and easier to read in an interview article, I think my choice will look conventional, professional and successful. As you can see this article is in the form of an interview: The colours are interesting and hold focus, the text is broken down successfully and it looks like an easy-read, however I believe an interview article like his is suited to a younger audience who struggle to maintain interest hence the bold Q and A format. This is further enhanced by the colour scheme, although conventional correct and outstanding my target audience is women and so I aim to have a bold and powerful Expose article. Here, however the Expose articles look stronger and bolder because of the use of text layout. The use of a single colour whether pink or black is effective and doesn’t draw away from the strong image. Therefore I will be emulating these images.

Plan for Article

On my double page spread I will have an article. As you can see this article is in the form of an interview:

The colours are interesting and hold focus, the text is broken down successfully and it looks like an easy-read, however I believe an interview article like his is suited to a younger audience who struggle to maintain interest hence the bold Q and A format.

After the Youtube sensation has signed with Atlanta Records, IzzyK has hit the R’n’B charts with a ‘slam-dunking’ record. Latest news reveals IzzyK will join up with rapper sensation Jonay for his latest album ‘Miles from home’. But with

his notoriously dangerous flows and creative beats Is Izzy a one-hit wonder is Izzy –not?

21 year old IzzyK is our new and upcoming artist, from the streets of Michigan he is our very own ‘Kwirky Prince’. The artist debuting in 2011 with his album ‘Stronger’ has made yet another ground breaking studio mix ‘Miles from home.’ The 6’11 soloist is known for his R&B Soul snare and his featured rappers that blow the track out the water… he is may have finally found his break. Now, K has announced not only his tour dates back in April but sneaky previews to his new album. That’s what we like to hear at VINYL.1.Inside sources of VINYL.1 have revealed that the tickets have been selling rapidly for the European tour kicking off January 12th, with a great line up of support acts. Rocking a unique hair cut IzzyK feels that the tracks on the album reflect his inner self as they came from his heart. In fact this singer/songwriter that the New Yorker describes as ‘refreshing and current’ says that he focuses best when he is in a quiet, dim room with only a black ball point pen and paper and a piano, which provides him with all the inspiration he needs to create hits like ‘Ain’t no guessin’. Early influences such as Alicia Keys, Aretha Franklin and James Brown spurred this music-genius to pursue his career. After the petty brawl with his last record company it seems Izzy has ruined himself around and really put in the effort. Flying to Japan to capture some shots for his music video, K expressed his seriousness toward his new album by cancelling his holiday with friends to the Greek Islands. From Japan, his ancestral roots he travelled on his $170,000 private jet to Paris where he met choreographer Patrice Fauke working on his moves for the tour. IzzyK the high school dropout wants his lyrics to catch the audience and reflect his snare. inside VINYL.1 sources inform us that fellow artist and good friend Jonay respects his work ethic ‘he’s so locked down, and tuned in when he writes his lyrics, he’d work a whole day to achieve that beat, that vibe that he wants, and I respect him for that, you know, as an artist.’ K as a teenager experienced a load of rejection from his mix tapes, he even appeared on X Factor and made to the judges houses but rivalry with other contestants left him as an

undesired act. But K’s back with vengeance ready to kick the charts once and for all. ‘Is there such a thing as getting it all right the first time?’ challenged IzzyK in an online video posted on VINYL.1 website.
