“What is an urban nature preserve, and why is it is important?” “How can we (ArtsTECH students) educate other about the
importance of protecting our local habitat?” Time allowance for project Objectives Process
Make contact with client, discuss clients need, presentation to class, guest speakers/field trips, students begins production process, evaluation of project and students work, reassess and rework, distribution of project.
Teen Community Publication Overview of Unit: Disseminating Information to Teenagers in the
Community Driving Question:
“Where do Teenagers get information about events, activities, music, movies, etc., that interest them?”
“How can we (ArtsTECH 11th graders) create a local publication/magazine that will meet the needs and interests of teenagers (ages 14-21) in the community?”
