Theatrical performances are the subjects of the art works made with different techniques, exhibited at the Galleria Svettini.Of great value are the pair of extraordinary paintings made under glass, the eighteenth century depicting scenes from the play by Carlo Goldoni, “Le Baruffe Chiozzotte” performed for the first time in 1762 in Venice. The plot tells the ladies rivalries of a fishing village, to get the favors of a young man with great skill. The images are viewed through a mirror and paited on the back of sheets of glass.

Vasco Ascolini master photographer, an extraordinary interpreter of fixing the images of enormous stars of dance and mime as Lindsay Kemp, Kabuki, the Society of Martha Graham, Marcel Marceau and many more. The sensitivity in the centuries to fix the art of acting is absolutely an increasingly contemporary style. His works are in the collections of major museums around the world such us Metropolitan, MOMA, Louvre, Rodin, Bibliotheque Nationale de France and others exibition center.
The exhibition, which opens the autumn season to Svettini Gallery, includes a series of 20 gouaches on paper, sketches of costumes for ballet in a modern way. They are Federico Quatrini’s work (1916-1991) painter and sculptor / ceramicist, performed by the dancer and choreographer of the Teatro Alla Scala, Ugo Dell’Ara, signed and dated 1959.
