16.15 Power Less: Art vs. Media
Discussion
Delfina Foundation director Aaron Cezar hosts a discussion with Negar Azimi and Huda Lutfi that
expands on their polemical statements from earlier on. Media — particularly rolling news — has come to
define how we are informed about political change. Media is also the dominant sphere of today's visual
culture. Against this backdrop, can contemporary art aspire to political agency? Or has art's potential to
'speak truth to power' been silenced by media's more potent coverage?
