Contest Ends: September 22, 2014

First Prize: $125 for classroom/educational expenses and your drawing will be featured in the month of your choice.

Second Prize: $75 for classroom/educational materials. Third Prize: $50 for classroom/educational materials.

Fourth-twelfth place: $25 for classroom/educational materials

All twelve winning entries will be featured in our calendar. Random months selected for winning entries except for first place. Winning entries will receive a check for

educational and classroom expenses. Submissions must be submitted electronically to:

Jaws & Paws 2014 Art Contest Guidelines: *Attach signed guidelines to email submission.

The World Oceans Day Art Contest is open worldwide to all children in grades K -12 in public, private or home-school, any youth group, after-school program, youth camp, scout troop, art class, etc. Checks for winning entries are written out to the educator (student’s choice). Money should be used towards classroom or educational materials.

The entries are grouped and judged in four grade categories:

Grades K-3 / Grades 4-6 / Grades 7-9 / Grades 10-12 Artwork: 1.  Should be the contestant's original, hand-done creation and must not infringe upon

any copyright laws. 2.  Techniques may include, but are not limited to, oils, scratch-board, pointillism,

chalk, pastels, charcoal, colored pencil, acrylics, dry brush, watercolor, crosshatch, lead, collage, photographs, linoleum printing, tempera and crayon. Must be in a format that allows contestants to submit via email.

3.  Should not have lettering, signatures, or initials on the front of the design. 4.  Should be submitted with the signature of an educator who is the recipient of the

cash prize if student wins. 5.  Must be submitted electronically to jessica@jawspaws.org (Students can scan/

copy artwork onto laptop for submission) 6.  Should be related to the ocean!!

Jaws & Paws 1.  Has the right to use the name, state and grade of any World Oceans Day Art

contestant, without compensation, to administer and promote the Contest. 2.  Has the right to use a photograph of any contestant, without compensation, to

administer and promote the contest. 3.  Retains ownership of all artwork entered in the contest and may copy, modify,

distribute and publicly display it. 4.  Can use winning entries for promotional and display purposes (Winning entries

will be used for the 2015 calendar). 5.  The winning artists must provide autographs without charge to Wildlife Forever. 6.  In order to promote Jaws & Paws products such as posters, prints, T-shirts,

calendars, etc. may be produced from winning artwork. Any money realized from the sale or licensing of artwork and/or essays will support the non-profits and its current projects.

The educator/teacher’s information (who will receive winning prize) is listed below. I attached this entry form to the email with submission. I have included my parents’ signature in addition to my educator’s. I am aware that check (if I win) will be paid to the order of my chosen teacher and will be used for educational and classroom expenses/materials.
