Art Adventures is also very proud to offer family workshops, a way for children and their loved ones to experience art making as a family affair! Classes are designed for specific age groups. Classes fill on a first come, first served basis, with a minimum enrollment needed to run. Full payment and completed registration and medical forms are required to secure a spot. From young children and teens- to adults and seniors - OCAC is a dynamic place to explore your creativity. People of all ages and skill levels bring their imaginations to life on our campus every day. Open Meadow’s Step Up is a high school transition program serving students in ninth and tenth grades at public high schools in the Portland area. Step Up targets students who are falling behind in their academics as they promote from eighth grade. The heart of the Step Up program lays in developing a positive self-concept and respectful relationships with others. By emphasizing personal responsibility, accountability, and decision-making skills, students experience success and develop a sense of purpose and a connection to school. Step Up serves students after school through comprehensive tutoring, emotional support, and team- building workshops. Groups of no more than 15 are mentored by one Step Up staff member. Step Up runs programs in Roosevelt, Franklin, Madison and Gresham High Schools. Founded in 1971, Open Meadow Alternative Schools is one of Portland’s oldest alternative education programs. Open Meadow serves students ages 10-24 in four programs in operation at three campuses, in local public high schools and at local businesses and institutions of higher education around the community.
