Easter Holiday

6th-17th April

Dear Parents/Carers,

We have had a quiet week at Arreton this week. It has given us all time to recover

from a busy week last week and get ready for 3 busy weeks leading up to the

Easter break.

Thank you for your calmness and understanding around the media attention we

received this week. I would like to reassure you again that this case poses no risk

to anybody at the school. The family have been very sensible and self-isolated as

a precaution.

We are taking all the advised precautions in school as outlined in the letter sent

home on Thursday.

We have been made aware by a number of parents of issues at the pedestrian

crossing, with cars not always stopping. Please be mindful of this when using the

crossing. We have made the police aware and hope that they will provide a

presence during the next week.

Thank you to everybody who has signed up for Walk the Wight, we have around

50 children taking part which is great.

We have decided that the Open Classrooms this term will be Easter Craft

workshops. The children will take part in a range of Easter crafts in their

classrooms. All parents and family are welcome to join the workshops. The dates

for the Workshops are on Thursday 26th March 1.45pm - 2.45pm for KS2 and

Thursday 2nd April 1.30pm - 2.30pm for Years R,1&2.

Our Easter Service will be led by Rev David and will take place on Tuesday 31st

March at 1.30pm at St George’s church. All families and friends are welcome to

join us.

Have a good weekend, see you all on Monday.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Maria Herbert
