DIARY DATES
Nothing for your diaries at
this present time.
Dear Parents/Carers,
This has certainly been an interesting week and one like no other. I would like to
say a big thank you to you all for your understanding and support.
There are still many questions unanswered but school will close in its current
form today at 2.45pm. How long it remains closed is unclear at this stage.
I will continue to keep you updated via the new email service that has been set
up.
You will all receive an email this weekend providing you with remote learning for
your children. Please make use of Tapestry and Class Dojo to keep us updated
and allow us to comment on activities your children complete.
I would also like to say a huge thank you to all of the staff who have worked so
hard to keep the school days as normal as possible. Without all their hard work
the resource packs would not have been created and there would have been
much more class disruption.
On a positive note the Year 4 children and the Hand bell group did us proud last
Friday at the Island Music, Drama and Speech Festival. Both groups came away
with an impressive 86 points and first place. Well done to everybody who took
part and thank you to Mrs Brown and Mrs Pierrepont for working with the
children.
Well done also to Matilda and Felix B who both came first in their respective age
groups in the Island Cross Country Championships last Saturday. Running is
obviously a strong family trait.
We will be producing a weekly news letter during term time while we are closed
so any good news stories will be very welcome. Please email them to me and we
will share them.
I hope you all stay safe and well and that we will be back to normal as quickly as
possible.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Maria Herbert
Our school values are perseverance, honesty and friendship. Every week we
celebrate a child from each class who has gone the extra mile to show one of
our values. The work of the week award goes to a child from each class that
