The Steel Lintels are made of 3 mm thick Cold Rolled

coil. The coil is duly perforated with 12.0 mm dia

holes to enable good mortar penetration. The

product is finally phosphated for surface treatment

and then Powder Coated to a thickness of 60 to 80

microns for corrosion prevention.

Ideally, installation of an Arpitha Steel Lintel takes only 6 minutes were there are walls on both the sides,

which saves significant time. In cases were brackets are used the time consumed is marginally higher.

But ultimate saving on time, labor and cost is quite obvious and practically achievable.

Were ever the span is more than 1 meter, you have to provide a support(Jack) below the lintel after placing the lintel

at the desired location, before starting the brick / block work. Initially complete the first two course on the first day.

The same procedure may be followed on the second & Third day also. From the Fourth day onwards, the work can

been continued as usual without any restriction until completion. The support(Jack) provided below the lintel may be

removed after the 5th

day. Any span of over 2.25 meters will have at-least one welded joint depending upon the size

ordered, which is unavoidable and inconsequential to the products performance. If the span is more than 2 meters,

the Lintel will have to be anchored to the Roof with 10 mm dia Threaded Rods & Anchor bolts at an interval of every 1

meters depending upon the site conditions. The anchor bolts thus fixed will be fully embedded in the Brick / Blockwall completely once the wall is finished.

INSTALLATION:

The lintel is placed above the open space in the block work fully embedded in the block work cement mortar. Please

ensure that the wall on either side of the clear opening were the Lintel have to be fixed, are in the same level . A layer

of cement mortar is applied on the surface of the lintel and laying of block work is continued as is done in the normal

course. Here is a typical installation of Arpitha steel lintel which abuts to a concrete column.
