pitty and fear (Catharsis)”

FORMATIVE ELEMENTS OF TRAGEDY AND DRAMA SERIAL DHUWAN
• Plot• Completeness
•Proper beginning
•Intermingled beginning and middle
•Middle is puzzled and vague, lot of new characters
introduced and new stories included
•End is beautifully crafted, everything is settled and
winded up in the end
FORMATIVE ELEMENTS OF TRAGEDY AND DRAMA SERIAL DHUWAN
• Plot• Unity
•Unity of Time: No unity of time, starts on 28-01-91 and ends
after 5+ years
•Unity of Action: To some extent it was lacking, there were
some stories of different characters which were not
contributing and not connected to main plot. For example story
of Dacoit Maskaar and his suffering family, story of Sallam
•Unity of Place: No Unity of place, audience forgets sometimes
where the characters are and where the action is taking place,
Quetta, Mach, Afghanistan Border, Karachi or Islamabad.
