Option 2: Kinissi Palace Hotel (4*) (Egnatia st. 41, Thessaloniki 54630) –1900 m from the Faculty of Engineering (Bus Routes available)

45 € per night for a single bed room

55 € per night for a double bed room

No three bed rooms are available.

Prices do not include Room Tax (amounts to 3 € per night per room and is paid separately)

All options include breakfast. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi access.

Meals: Lunch breaks are offered between courses on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and

Friday. A buffet will be available for students. The menu will alternate each day with various

available options. The complete menu will be available at registration upon arrival. The cost

for the four (4) days is 18€ per student. Students should indicate whether they wish to have

lunch at the buffet at registration upon arrival. Lunch fees will have to be paid upon

registration in cash, together with the EDA participation fee.

The Faculty of Engineering also has a cafeteria that will be open to students.

European Dimension Activities (EDA)

Sunday 17-March-2019:

Guided visit to the Archaeological Museum. Guided sightseeing-tour of Thessaloniki including the Castle, the Roman Agora and the old Byzantine Churches. The Early Christian and Byzantine monuments of Thessaloniki have been declared as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1988.

Tours (including welcome meeting and registration) will last approximately from 10:00 to 14:00.

Saturday 23-3-2019:

Bus trip and guided visit of the archaeological sites and museums of Pella and Aiges (Vergina). The trip will last approximately from 8:00 to 15:00.

For free entrance to museums and sites students must show their student ID card (only applicable for EU Student ID cards, other students pay half-price tickets).

Full and half-price entrance tickets for the archaeological sites and museums are as follows:

Pella: 8€ / 4€

Aiges (Vergina): 12€ /6€

Archaeological Museum: 8€ / 4€

The total cost for the EDA is 20 € per student and will have to be paid upon registration

INFORMATION CONCERNING TRANSPORT

Local Transportation

Regular bus tickets cost 1.0 € and are valid for one hour. Bus tickets from and to the airport

cost 2 €. A taxi from the airport to the hotel costs 20 € (25 € at night hours).

How to reach the 2 hotels from the airport

There is a bus from the airport, Nr. X1 (N1 from midnight to 05:00 in the morning-every 30

minutes during the night). In the direction from the airport to the hotel the route passes a few

blocks away, from both hotels. Both hotels are on EGNATIA street. For ABC hotel the nearest

stop is KAMARA, while for Kinissi Palace the nearest stop is KOLOMVOU. Alternatively, you

may take a taxi.

Please note that no insurance is provided by AUTh (contact your local insurance company

for a travel insurance).
