TRIANGLES

AREA OF A TRIANGLEWe have already learnt two methods of finding the area of a triangle:a) When the height and base are given:Finding the area of a triangle when the height and base are given is quite simple. All we have to do is multiply the height and the base and then divide it by two.

b) When the three sides are given:When the three sides of the triangle are given we can use the Heron’s Formula to find the area of the triangle.

AREA OF A PARALLELOGRAMTo find the area of a parallelogram, all

we have to do is multiply its base by its height.

Area = base x height
