TheSeniorPupilLeadershipTeam2020-21WhatdoesbeingamemberoftheSeniorPupilLeadershipTeaminvolve?AmemberoftheSeniorPupilLeadershipTeamisapupilwhowantsto,andischosento,representtheschool. ThisiseitherasHeadofSchool(S6only),HouseCaptain/DeputeHeadofSchool(S6only)orprefect(S4,S5andS6).Asamorematureandexperiencedmemberof theschool community inS4,S5orS6,he/she isexpectedto:
- beaposi6vepublicrolemodelforallstudentsatall6mes.
- set an example to younger pupils and peers in terms of behaviour, uniform, aAtude,a>endanceandpunctuality;
- bewillingtorespondtopupilandstaffrequestsforassistanceand/oradvice;
- bewillingtorepresenttheschoolatvariouseventsandfunc6onsbothwithinandoutwiththeschoolday.
Specifically,itisexpectedthattheSeniorPupilLeadershipTeamwill:- wear full school uniform, including blazer, at all 6mes during the 6metabled week, and
whenrepresen6ngtheschoolatother6mes;
- playafullandresponsiblepartintherotaoforganisedSeniorPupilLeadershipTeamdu6es(e.g. parents’ evenings, func6ons, concerts and produc6ons, organising charity events inschool, organising events for younger pupils,welcoming visitors, showing visitors aroundthe school assis6ng with Tutor Groups, par6cipa6ng in assemblies, monitoring theConcourseatbreakandlunchdutyetc.);
- inaddi6on,HeadsofSchool.andinsomeinstances,DeputeHeadsofSchool,areexpectedtoa>endallDrummondCommunityHighSchoolParentCouncilmee6ngsintheacademicyear; a>end at least one of the Parent Council mee6ngs for each of our three clusterprimaryschoolsintheacademicyear;coordinatetheConcourselunchsupervisionrotaallyear;leadassemblieswhereappropriate;playanac6veroleinPupilVoicemee6ngs,suchaschairingandminu6ng;organisingthecollec6onofpupilachievementandschoolnewsforassemblies;
- provideviewstotheSLTonwhole-schoolissues;
- pointouttoappropriatestaffanyincidentswhichmaybeconnectedwiththehealth,safetyorwell-beingofanyindividualwithintheschoolcommunity;

- to develop interpersonal and communica6on skills through managing situa6ons anddealingwitheverydaytasks.
