Annual General MeetingThe 2013 Annual General Meeting will be held at 1.00pm on Saturday 18 May 2013 at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Auckland Airport. A seminar “A Look at the Australasian Arabian Breeding Industry” will be held on Sunday 19 May 2013 from 10.00am to 2.30pm with guest speaker Allan Preston, the current AHSA President. If you are an Arabian Horse enthusiast this is a seminar not to be missed. Full details and a booking form will emailed to all members and available to download from the website in the next few days.
Annual Subscriptions2013 membership invoices were posted with the December mailout and are due for payment now. Please contact the office if you did not receive your invoice. A reminder that any member wishing to resign their membership must do so in writing.

Mare & Stallion ReturnsMare & Stallion Returns for the current 2012/2013 season were posted with the December mailout and need to be returned to the Office by 1 April 2013.
Branding & MicrochippingAfter further debate on this topic Council confirm that it is now compulsory to identify all Purebred foals born from 1 August 2012 by branding and/or microchipping. This means:• Horses born prior to 31 July 2007 - branding
compulsory.• Horses born from 1 August 2007 to 31 July 2012
- branding optional.• Horses born from 1 August 2012 - to be branded
and/or microchipped. Next Council Meeting The next NZAHBS Council meeting will be held on Friday 17 May 2013 in Auckland. If you wish to have any matters raised at this meeting, please ensure that they are submitted to the Office at least 14 days out from the meeting.
