Product Benefits & Features Environmentally friendly no toxic heavy
metals, VOCs or HAPs
Lower maintenance requirements noultrafiltration, no rectifiers, no electrodes, fewerstages
Numerous process/application advantages: Unlimited throwing (wetting)
power with uniform coverage Coats fully assembled parts Inside and outside part protection No electrical contacts required No special rack stripping required Lower disposal and energy costs Lower applied costs
Excellent properties: Good cyclic corrosion protection A flexible film with high impact resistance Scratch and mar resistance Uniform low gloss appearance
AquenceTM Autophoretic 866 Series is Henkels thirdgeneration autodeposition coating technology. This water-basedorganic barrier coating efficiently and uniformly coats metalparts without the complicated equipment requirements foranodes, rectifiers, or additional production maintenance stepsneeded with conventional industrial coatings.
The performance, application, and process benefits translateinto a more flexible supply chain with lower total cost. Thatswhy Autophoretic is The Smart Coating Solution.

Autodeposition Application BenefitsCompared to conventional coating operations, autodeposition requires significantly less manpower and equipment less
cycle time, energy, part rework, handling, packaging, andtransportation
is self-limiting cannot be over applied provides uniform coating thickness on all part surfaces,
including edges and complex shapes
The AquenceTM Autophoretic 866 coating can positively impact your entire manufacturing process. The absence of electric current from the coating application process, shorterprocess cycle time, and low curing temperature of the coatingresult in lower energy consumption. The low pH environment of the coating bath discourages bacterial growth, and the absence of metal phosphating reduces time and expense inchemical maintenance and waste treatment. Coating totallyassembled parts with AquenceTM Autophoretic 866 reducesmanufacturing process cycle time, work-in-process inventory, logistics for in-process transport, and labor for material handling.
Application Information Application Equipment: Autodeposition Coatings are applied
with common industrial cleaning methods followed by a 3-stepimmersion coating process using hoist or conveyor systems.
Bake: The typical bake for ACC 866 is a single-zone oven at20 minutes at 210F-220F (100C-110C) metal temperature.
VOC: The Calculated Value minus water is Zero based on U.S.EPA Method 24. There are no co-solvents added to the ACC
866 coating during production. Hazardous Air Pollutants: None. Hazardous Heavy Metals: None in coating or process
chemistry. A Henkel representative can assist you in the evaluation of
products, process parameters, and cure schedule.
