No CASH accepted. FAMILY SWIM #100Swimming is a sport that is good for people of all ages. It’s fun, easy and an ideal activity thatall members of the family can do together. No instruction or activity is planned. The followingrules apply: (1) Children may not attend without their own parent, (2) No family or friendsubstitutions are permitted, (3) A child who is less than 4’ 6” must be attended by a parent at alltimes, and (4) Flotation devices are not permitted. Lifeguards are on duty during this program.

ADULT LAP SWIMMING #101Swimming is an all-around physical conditioning activity. This is for people who would like an opportunity to enhance or maintain their cardio-respiratory and muscular fitness. Lines separating fast, medium and slow lanes will be in the pool. Showers, dressing areas and lockers are provided. Lifeguards are on duty during this program.

LEARN TO SWIM FOR CHILDREN #102With so many backyard pools and boats in the area, more and more children are spending timein and/or near water. Safety for children begins with being confident and capable in the water.This course teaches correct strokes, breathing, floating and water safety. All children will betested during the first session and placed in a class based on ability. The course is for childrenages 5 and up. Must be 5 years old on or before October 31. Proof of age required.

COMMUNITY AQUATICS PROGRAM FALL CALENDAR
ADULT LEARN TO SWIM #103This course is for adults who cannot swim or want toimprove their swimming skills. Topics include properbreathing, floating, strokes and water safety.
Fridays – Beginning Sept. 16 (10-week session) Time: 8 PM - 9 PMFee: $100.00
SPRINGBOARD DIVING #104This course will cover the basics of springboard diving:approach, hurdle, take-off, flight and entry. Emphasis will beon proper techniques and form. In addition, all five groupsof dives will be taught: forward, back, reverse, inward and twisting. The springboard course will also emphasizecompetition-level dives and techniques used in competition.

AQUAROBICS #105Aquarobics is a form of rhythmic exercise that supports thebody while using water as resistance. Swimming ability isnot required.

SENIOR CITIZEN SWIM #106This is an opportunity for our District’s senior residents to make use of the Natatorium. Showers, dressing rooms,lockers and lifeguards are provided. There is a maximumenrollment of 75.
Mon., Wed. and Fri. – Beginning Sept. 7 (throughout the year)Time: 2:15 PM – 3 PM (September – July)Fee: $100.00
WATERFRONT LIFEGUARD #107This full course consists of American Red Cross Waterfront lifeguard, First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. The course provides participants with the skills and knowledge toprevent, recognize, and respond to emergencies in and around pools and non-surf waterfrontfacilities. Bring a swim suit and $50 cash for the book and breathing mask to the prerequisite class date of September 13.
Age requirement: 15 years old or older by the end of the course (December 20).Maximum number of participants: 10 – Course enrollment is based upon water strength and performance on the prerequisite swim test ONLY.Prerequisites:• Continuously swim a combination of front crawl and breaststroke for 550 yards• Swim 25 yards, retrieve a 10-pound object from a 12-foot depth and swim 25 yards
with the object in less than 100 seconds (no goggles)• Swim 15 yards underwater and retrieve 3 diving rings in a single breath (no goggles)Mandatory Prerequisite Testing and Introductory Class: Tuesday, Sept. 13 Classes: Tuesdays – Beginning Sept. 20 through Dec. 20 – This is a 14-week course after the prerequisite testing and intro class. You must attend all 15 weeks of this course to getyour certification – NO EXCEPTIONS. Time: 6:45 PM – 10 PMFee: $200.00 for HHH students and $300.00 for non-HHH studentsMake-up Date: TBD
ADAPTIVE SWIM CLASS #108This class is suitable for individuals with mild to moderate physical or mental disabilities.Classes are one-on-one and instructors will teach skills based upon the abilities of each individual student. This program is open to children and adults. Maximum enrollment is 12.

RECERTIFICATION FOR CPR/AED FOR THEPROFESSIONAL RESCUER #109This course is suitable for those who need recertification in CPR/AED for the ProfessionalRescuer. Participants must complete written testing and perform practical skill scenarios withmanikins to qualify for recertification. Bring your breathing mask, certifications and $22 cash for the American Red Cross certification cards to the class.
Tuesday – January 10, 2012 Time: 7 PM – 10 PMFee: $45.00 for HHH residents and $65.00 for non-HHH residents
RECERTIFICATION FOR WATERFRONTLIFEGUARDING AND FIRST AID #110This course is suitable for those who need recertification in Waterfront Lifeguarding and First Aid. Participants must complete written testing and perform water and land rescue skillscenarios to qualify for recertification. Bring bathing suit, certifications and $22 cash for theAmerican Red Cross certification cards to the class.
Wednesday – January 11, 2012 Time: 7 PM – 10 PMFee: $45.00 for HHH residents and $65.00 for non-HHH residents
