What do these two images have in common? They were both created during an actual class with Fuller. Both were taken during the senior sessions part of the class and then tweaked and finished in the computer enhancement portion of the class.

Welcome to the 2011 Edi-tion of Fuller Royal’s Senior Workshops.

Fuller calls his senior portrait program Extreme Seniors, complete with a redesigned senior ambassa-dor program that takes great advantage of Facebook and other unique ways to attract high school seniors.

Whether you have a senior program in place or are just starting out, Fuller’s classes will prove invaluable to your studio.

Fuller will show how he markets, photographs, sells and creates products for high school seniors. The bulk of his annual studio income comes from the high school seniors he photographs throughout the year. If you are looking to make seniors your niche or just to increase your numbers, this seminar is for you.

Senior weekends begin at noon on Friday, when Fuller shares his marketing plans as

well as an overview of how he manages his senior program.

Later, you will spend the afternoon with Fuller photo-graphing real seniors – guys and gals – in real time in the studio and on location.

Fuller will demonstrate his simple and merit-producing lighting and how he quickly changes backgrounds and props. He’ll demonstrate how to make use of existing build-ings and landscaping around your studio, going on location to area gardens and homes for more exterior work.

He’ll demonstrate hi-key work and shooting for digital composites and digital blends.

On Friday evening, Fuller will take the class to Lake

ing, you will set up your com-puter (desktop or laptop) for a day full of digital creation using QuickMats, Painter and, of course, Photoshop.

Fuller will show you how to quickly drop in new back-grounds and back-ground-blends without the need for green screen.

He’ll demonstrate incred-ible Photoshop plug-ins such as Nik Color Efex, Nik Sil-ver Efex and Topaz that will change the look of your imag-es forever, adding new layers of excitement.

He’ll share with you his ex-citing new promotional mate-rials and a referral system that has produced great changes for his studio (seniors and otherwise.)

Fuller will demonstrate how he operates his ambassador program, which has success-fully brought in seniors for him from across Southeastern

North Carolina and Northeast-ern South Carolina.

Fuller’s class covers: How to make low-cost promotional materials for seniors; Choos-ing the right ambassadors and using them effectively; Ambassador incentives; Pho-tographing senior boys and senior girls in the studio, on location in business districts, on location in private yards and gardens and in a lake en-vironment; Selling techniques; Creating products to attract seniors and to sell to seniors;

Creating galleries, black and white, selective color, multi-image blendings and multi-image composites, unique wallets and promotional cards; and Using Photoshop to do in-house retouching quickly.

You will need your digital camera, computer and Pho-toshop CS or higher, Painter 8 or higher and QuickMats (optional).

Since 1989, Fuller has pho-tographed nearly 1,700 se-niors and has won dozens of state, regional and national merits and honors for his se-nior work.

Fuller has spoken four times at the Professional Photogra-phers of North Carolina Con-ventions. He has spoken at guild meetings seven times.

Having attended East Coast School for 10 years – two years as a class assistant – he taught at the school in 2008.

Fuller’s studio is in White-ville, about 40 minutes due west of Wilmington on U.S. 74 and 25 minutes due east of I-95.

Many of you have seen his presentations at guild meet-ings, conventions and at East Coast School.

The two-day session, in-cluding class materials, pro-motional materials, DVD of poses and Animoto Slide Shows, Friday lunch and sup-per, costs $250 for photogra-phers who are members of the Professional Photographers of North Carolina (PPNC).

The cost for non-PPNC members is $475. The dif-ference is the cost of PPNC membership and demonstrates Fuller’s belief in the impor-tance of membership in the state’s premier professional photography association.

To reserve your slot or for more information, call Fuller at 910.770.1834 or emailhim at [email protected].
