What are the rocks upon which the Gospel wants us to build our lives?
Is it possible that humility and a living relationship with Jesus can both ground and
lead us more deeply into God’s plan for us? Utilizing prayer, quiet, conversation,
and ritual, we will explore together how we might be
“strong even when we are weak.” (2 Cor 12:10)
First Eucharist Sunday, May 7 On Sunday, May 1st, we will be celebrating First Eucharist at the 9:45 and 11:30
Masses for 48 children. Their time and preparation for the Sacrament of First Eucharist calls
us to reflect on the importance of the Eucharist in our life and in the life of the Church.
MOTHER’S DAY
MOTHER’S DAY NOVENA There is an attractive Mother’s Day Card which are available in the Parish & Friary Offices. The Novena enables us to remember our mothers, grand-mothers, guardians, etc. living or deceased in the Novena of Masses which be-gins on Mother’s Day, May 14th.
MOTHER’S DAY BREAKFAST The Holy Name Society will be hosting their Annual Mother’s Day Breakfast in the Church hall following the 8:00 Mass on Sunday, May 14th. All are invited.
The cost will be $8 adults/$4 children. Menu includes bacon, ham, sausage, eggs, pancakes, tea, coffee and orange juice. We need to know the number in your party and how many mothers are included so we can plan accordingly. Reserve early at the Parish Offices 963-4205 and enjoy Mothers Day together!
GIRL SCOUT COOKIE CUPBOARD The Girl Scouts of Sacred Heart will be having their Cookie Cupboard sales outside church for Mother’s Day weekend. Now you tell us, who doesn’t look forward to a box of Girl Scout cookies? Proceeds from the sales will benefit the activities of all levels of the troop. Cookie boxes sell for $4.00 each.
