AnnouncementsCOVID-19 UPDATE:  The leadership at Connect Church recognizes that there have been over the past fewweeks, many changes in all areas of life, including the church, due to the COVID-19 outbreak.  The followingare a few things we want to keep you updated on: Pastoral Care:  Due to the guidelines given to us by both national and local governmental leaders, ourapproach to caring for you pastorally will primarily be through phone calls, texts, video platforms (Zoom,Google Hangout) and emails.  This makes caring for you difficult when it comes to being present with you,but we long to keep everyone safe from the virus during this time.  If you have ANY needs (physical, emotional, mental, financial, relationship, spiritual) during this time, please reach out to one of the elders ofthe church: Pastor Brad Meinders (629-1575), Bruce Bandstra (629-6847), Ralph De Haan (780-2092),Fred Van Den Broek (627-5581), or Russ Van Hemert (416-0255). In-Person Worship Gatherings:  We have further suspended our in-person gatherings for worship throughthe month of April. The leadership will continue to monitor the situation while relying on the advice ofgovernemental leaders and experts. However, we will continue to provide worship services on multipleplatforms: Radio (92.1), Connect Church Webpage (connectchurchpella.org) and Facebook Live (ConnectChurch page).  At 9:30am on Sunday mornings, please plug into one of these options for worship!  You canalso tune into a previously aired Sunday 6pm worship service at calvarypella.org. All Gatherings:  The leadership is suspending ALL gatherings of the church until further notice.  If you desireto meet, virtual platforms are encouraged like Zoom or Google Hangout.  If you need assistance in settingthis up, contact the office ([email protected]) and arrangements can be made. Finances:  We acknowledge that right now there has been cut backs and even unemployment due to theeconomic downturn.  If you have needs, please reach out to a deacon of Connect (Cindy Blom, Dan Clark,Greg Dieleman, Alex Van Den Broek, Brett Van Soelen, and Wayne Van Walbeek). Also, we want to encourage you to consider still giving financially to Connect Church so that gospel ministrycan continue to happen.  Feel free to mail your giving directly to the church (P. O. Box 321) or give online atconnectchurchpella.org.  We appreciate your consideration and financial support! PRC Health & Fitness:  Our plan, as noted in an Executive Council Briefing, was to launch a Saturday eveningworship service on April 11 at PRC Health & Fitness.  This date will be postponed until large gatherings areonce again allowed.  A future date will be announced as we continue to monitor the situation surroundingCOVID-19. In the midst of all these adjustments, know our love for each of you even though our seeing you will belimited.  We are praying for you that hope may fill you like the psalmist in Psalm 71:19-22, “Yourrighteousness reaches to the skies, O God, You have done great things.  Who, O God, is like you?  Thoughyou have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earthyou will again bring me up.  You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.  I will praise You with theharp for Your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praise to You.”

The deacons want you to know that giving is down. Please consider either mailing a checkto the church or giving on-line. We realize that these are tough times for everyone, so just

give what you feel you can.
