Introduction News360 is a personalized news aggregation app for smartphones, tablets and the web. Unlike the traditional media apps, it attempts to provide a tailor-made platform for the users. News360 is able to understand a user’s reading behavior by recording the categories which the user is interested in, then it would generate those important news and filter out the unattractive ones.

The app has an audience of more than 10M users in the past 5 years. It is ranked over 4.4 in both iOS and Android.

The New York Times: “News360 has to be one of the better news aggregating [apps] I’ve seen on any platform.” This successfully reflects the popularity of News360.

How to use the app?Create an account with your email/ Facebook/

Twitter

Select the categories which you are interested in

Read the news by clicking into the posts shown on NewsFeed

Show your preference by giving “likes” and

“dislikes”, you can also share your favorite stories with friends

Find your “saved stories” in “menu”, then

you can read them offline

Do some “settings” to personalize your own

news app

Step 1: Create an account To link your News360 account with your email/ Facebook/ Twitter, this helps the app to understand your reading habits better.

Step 2: Select the interesting categories

You can select your favorite topics by putting ticks onto the particular categories. You can see all your

selected topics in “menu”.

You may add more topics if you want.

Step 3: Click on the posts on NewsFeed

You can go into the details of the news by clicking the post.

The app would only generate the relevant categories that you have selected before.

Step 4: Show preference + Share stories

Click the “share” button

You may select the platforms to share the news.

Step 5: Read your “saved stories” offline

Click the “save” button to save your favorite articles.

Go to “menu”, click the “saved stories” button

The saved stories are now in your list, you can read them anytime even if you are offline.

Step 6: Change settings Select your own edition

Get “notifications” on certain news which you are interested in.

Click “night mode” while you are reading at night.

Go “settings” to personalize your news app.
