Applied Test Systems (ATS) was founded in 1965 with the mission of providing a line of affordable, yet uncompromising, materials testing equipment. Our ISO9001:2008 accredited manufacturing facility is complimented by an onsite ISO17025 accredited calibration department, as well as a team of skilled engineers ready to help you design a custom product for your application. From the very beginning, we have succeeded in creating new products for emerging applications and have excelled in producing innovative new solutions to age-old materials testing problems.

Our facility is located in Butler, Pennsylvania - with our manufacturing, development, sales, and engineering offices onsite. Communication between departments from beginning to end assures that your equipment, whether it is standard or custom, will built to last with the most precise results possible.

Our materials testing and process heating equipment is complimented by an experienced field service and calibration department. We have staff available to assist with installation, calibration, training, and repairs – both onsite at our location and in the field at yours. Our calibration lab is ISO17025 certified through A2LA. ATS calibration technicians are available to service ATS equipment and equipment from other manufacturers.
