1Pe 3:15 but sanctify the Lord
God in your hearts, and be
ready always to give an
answer (apologia) to everyone
who asks you a reason of the
hope in you, with meekness
and fear …
1Jn 4:1 Beloved, do not
believe every spirit, but test
the spirits, whether they are
from God; for many false
prophets have gone forth
into the world.

we also have signs and
wonders we can show
people to confirm God’s
word.
Job 26:7 He stretches out the north over the
empty place, and He hung the earth on nothing.
Isa 40:22 It is He who sits on the circle of the
earth, and its people are like grasshoppers; who
stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and
spreads them out like a tent to dwell in;
More than 350 years after the Roman Catholic Church
condemned Galileo, Pope John Paul II is poised to rectify one
of the Church's most infamous wrongs -- the persecution of
the Italian astronomer and physicist for proving the Earth
moves around the Sun.
With a formal statement at the Pontifical Academy of
Sciences on Saturday, Vatican officials said the Pope will
formally close a 13-year investigation into the Church's
condemnation of Galileo in 1633. The condemnation, which
forced the astronomer and physicist to recant his discoveries,
led to Galileo's house arrest for eight years before his death in
1642 at the age of 77.
At the time of his condemnation, Galileo had won
fame and the patronage of leading Italian powers like
the Medicis and Barberinis for discoveries he had
made with the astronomical telescope he had built.
But when his observations led him to proof of the
Copernican theory of the solar system, in which the
sun and not the earth is the center, and which the
Church regarded as heresy, Galileo was summoned
to Rome by the Inquisition.
By the end of his trial, Galileo was forced to recant
his own scientific findings as "abjured, cursed and
detested," a renunciation that caused him great
personal anguish but which saved him from being
burned at the stake.
Ecc 1:7 All the rivers
run into the sea; yet
the sea is not full; to
the place from where
the rivers come, there
they return again.
Amo 5:8 seek Him who created
the Pleiades and Orion, and who
turned the deep darkness into the
morning and He darkened the
day into night. Seek Him who
calls for the waters of the sea,
and pours them out on the face of
the earth; Yahweh is His name;
In ancient times, it was widely
thought that the land mass
floated on a body of water, and
that most of the water in rivers
has its origin under the earth.
Examples of this belief can be
found in the works of Homer
(circa 800 BCE).
The first published thinker to assert that
rainfall alone was sufficient for the
maintenance of rivers was Bernard
Palissy (1580 CE), who is often credited as
the "discoverer" of the modern theory of the
water cycle.
Palissy's theories were not tested scientifically
until 1674, in a study commonly attributed
to Pierre Perrault. Even then, these beliefs
were not accepted in mainstream science until
the early nineteenth century.

of the snow?
Each snowflake falls and floats
through clouds with different
temperatures and moisture levels,
which shapes each snowflake in
a unique way. Even though
two snowflakes may form in the
same cloud, their different journeys
to the ground will affect their shape
and size, giving each snowflake its
own unique identity.
So how many stars were known prior to
the invention of the telescope?
The standard star catalogue in the
Middle Ages was the one published by
Ptolemy in the 2nd century which in turn
was based on Hipparchus' work.
Ptolemy's Almagest contains 1022 stars.
In the Arab world, Ptolemy's work was
updated by Al-Ṣūfī, who published
his Book of the Fixed Stars in 964.
The first real improvement, particularly in
positional accuracy, was made by Tycho
Brahe, who completed his ”thousand-
star” catalogue in 1598. His catalogue
contains 965 stars. Finally, Johannes
Hevelius published the last major
catalogue based on naked eye
observations in 1687, the Catalogus
Stellarum Fixarum, which contains 1,564
stars.

Deep ocean currents are driven by
density and temperature gradients.
Thermohaline circulation is also
known as the ocean's conveyor belt
… These currents, called submarine
rivers, flow under the surface of
the ocean and are hidden from
immediate detection.
The Gulf Stream was first described
by the Spanish navigator and
explorer Juan Ponce de León early
in the 16th century. In
the late 1700s Benjamin
Franklin produced a map of the
current. In 1844 systematic
surveying of the stream was begun
by the United States Coast and
Geodetic Survey.

Zec 14:12
And this shall be the plague
wherewith the LORD will smite all
the people that have fought against
Jerusalem; Their flesh shall
consume away while they stand
upon their feet, and their eyes shall
consume away in their holes, and
their tongue shall consume away in
their mouth.
In his book “Hiroshima”, John Hersey
describes some victims: “There were
about 20 men, and they were all in the
same nightmarish state; their faces were
wholly burned, their eye sockets were
hollow, the fluid from their melted eyes
had run down their cheeks. (They must
have had their faces upturned when the
bomb went off; perhaps they were anti-
aircraft personnel.)”
Containing a detailed description
of the bomb's effects, the article
was a publishing sensation. In
plain prose, Hersey described the
horrifying aftermath of the atomic
device: people with melted
eyeballs, or people vaporized,
leaving only their shadows
etched onto walls.
Mat 24:21 For the trouble at that time will be
far more terrible than any there has ever been,
from the beginning of the world to this very
day. Nor will there ever be anything like it
again.
Mat 24:22 But God has already reduced the
number of days; had he not done so, nobody
would survive. For the sake of his chosen
people, however, God will reduce the days.

To be termed scientific, a method
of inquiry must be based on
gathering empirical and
measurable evidence subject to
specific principles of reasoning.
The Oxford English Dictionary
says that scientific method is: "a
method or procedure that has
characterized natural science
since the 17th century, consisting
in systematic observation,
measurement, and experiment,
and the formulation, testing, and
modification of hypotheses."
Dating of samples is
based on assumption.
Mount St Helens adds up to a real life
laboratory to understand a number
of processes that occurred on a much
larger scale, during Noah’s Flood. At
Mount St Helens, these processes were
observed to rapidly form a wide range
of geological features, in contrast to the
thousands to millions of years assumed
by mainstream scientists. Mount St
Helens demonstrates that when we
bring the Flood back into our thinking,
a large percentage of the uniformitarian
time challenges melt away.
Gregor Johann Mendel (20 July 1822[1] – 6 January 1884) was a
German-speaking Moravian scientist and Augustinian friar who gained
posthumous fame as the founder of the modern science of genetics.
Though farmers had known for centuries that crossbreeding of animals
and plants could favor certain desirable traits, Mendel's pea plant
experiments conducted between 1856 and 1863 established many of the
rules of heredity, now referred to as the laws of Mendelian inheritance.
Mendel worked with seven characteristics of pea plants: plant height, pod
shape and color, seed shape and color, and flower position and color.
With seed color, he showed that when a yellow pea and a green pea were
bred together their offspring plant was always yellow. However, in the
next generation of plants, the green peas reappeared at a ratio of 1:3. To
explain this phenomenon, Mendel coined the terms “recessive” and
“dominant” in reference to certain traits. (In the preceding example, green
peas are recessive and yellow peas are dominant.) He published his work
in 1866, demonstrating the actions of invisible “factors”—now called
genes—in providing for visible traits in predictable ways.
It takes more faith to believe
in evolution than to believe
in God – an intelligent
creator who created us for a
purpose.
I believe your stance on mutation needs to be re-
evaluated. The articles I’ve been reading say that
mutations are either harmful or neutral. There are,
however, such things as beneficial mutations. For
example, there are people with mutations in the
CCR5 gene that make them virtually immune to
HIV. There are also a class of cancer drugs that
are 100% effective, but only in a minority of
individuals that have a certain mutation. Both of
these mutations could seriously improve a
person’s chance of survival. I therefore fail to see
what makes you think all mutations are bad?
MoleculaMolecular Geneticist Geneticist
But are there such things as beneficial mutations? In short, no, but let
me explain. While I have yet to see evidence of a truly beneficial
mutation, I have seen evidence of mutations with beneficial outcomes
in restricted environments. Mutations are context dependent, meaning
their environment determines whether the outcome of the mutation is
beneficial. One well-known example is antibiotic resistance in bacteria.
In an environment where antibiotics are present, mutations in the
bacterial DNA that alter the target of the antibiotic allow the bacteria to
survive (the bacteria are faced with a “live or die” situation). However,
these same mutations come at the cost of altering a protein or system
that is important for the normal functioning of the bacteria (such as
nutrient acquisition). If the antibiotics are removed, typically the
antibiotic resistant bacteria do not fare as well as the normal (or wild-
type) bacteria whose proteins and systems are not affected by
mutations (see also Is Bacterial Resistance to Antibiotics an
Appropriate Example of Evolutionary Change?). There are numerous
other examples as well. Thus, the benefit of any given mutation is not
an independent quality, but rather a dependent quality based on the
environment.
Again, the mutations only improve a person’s chance for survival in a
given environment (external or internal), such as if the person is
exposed to HIV or cancer develops within a person’s body. It is
possible that the mutations would not be beneficial in other
environments (i.e. if the person is exposed to West Nile Virus).
Keep in mind that beneficial, information-gaining mutations are a
necessary mechanism of molecules-to-man evolution, so focusing on
any potential for this is essential for evolutionists. What doesn’t seem to
be often addressed is the vast amount of data to the contrary. But even
if there were a clearly beneficial mutation, this would by no means
“prove” the mechanism for evolution (for one thing, beneficial,
information-gaining mutations would have to be a regularly occurring
phenomenon and would have to “build” on previous mutations so as
not to be “undone” and to keep the evolution going “uphill”), nor negate
the truth of God’s revelation of His Creation in Genesis.

Isa 43:9 Let all the nations be brought together,
and let the people be gathered; who among
them can declare this and make us hear former
things? Let them bring out their witnesses, that
they may be justified; or let them hear, and say,
It is true.
Isa 43:10 You are My witnesses, says Yahweh,
and My servant whom I have chosen; that you
may know and believe Me, and understand that
I am He. Before Me no God was formed, nor
shall there be after Me.
Lev 26:33 And you will I scatter
among the nations, and I will
draw out the sword after you: and
your land shall be a desolation,
and your cities shall be a waste.
Jer 46:28 Do not fear, O Jacob
My servant, says Yahweh, for I
am with you. For I will make a full
end of all the nations where I
have driven you. But I will not
make a full end of you, but
correct you in measure; yet I will
not leave you wholly unpunished.
Eze 37:21 And say unto them,
Thus saith the Lord GOD:
Behold, I will take the children of
Israel from among the nations,
whither they be gone, and will
gather them on every side, and
bring them into their own land:
Jer 31:35 Thus saith the LORD, which
giveth the sun for a light by day, and the
ordinances of the moon and of the stars
for a light by night, which stirreth up the
sea, that the waves thereof roar; the
LORD of hosts is his name:
Jer 31:36 If these ordinances depart from
before me, saith the LORD, then the seed
of Israel also shall cease from being a
nation before me for ever.
Eze 36:22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus
saith the Lord GOD: I do not this for your sake, O house
of Israel, but for mine holy name, which ye have
profaned among the nations, whither ye went.
Eze 36:23 And I will sanctify my great name, which
hath been profaned among the nations, which ye have
profaned in the midst of them; and the nations shall
know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I
shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
Eze 36:24 For I will take you from among the nations,
and gather you out of all the countries, and will bring
you into your own land.

Dan 2:31 Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This image,
which was mighty, and whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee;
and the aspect thereof was terrible.
Dan 2:32 As for this image, his head was of fine gold, his breast and his
arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass,
Dan 2:33 his legs of iron, his feet part of iron, and part of clay.
Dan 2:34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which
smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them
in pieces.
Dan 2:35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold,
broken in pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer
threshing–floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found
for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain,
and filled the whole earth.
Dan 2:36 This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof
before the king.
Dan 2:37 Thou, O king, art king of kings, unto whom the God of heaven
hath given the kingdom, the power, and the strength, and the glory;
Dan 2:38 and wheresoever the children of men dwell,
the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath
he given into thine hand, and hath made thee to rule
over them all: thou art the head of gold.
Dan 2:39 And after thee shall arise another kingdom
inferior to thee; and another third kingdom of brass,
which shall bear rule over all the earth.
Dan 2:40 And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as
iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and
subdueth all things: and as iron that crusheth all these,
shall it break in pieces and crush.
Dan 2:41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes,
part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, it shall be a divided
kingdom; but there shall be in it of the strength of the
iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry
clay.
Dan 2:42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of
clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
Dan 2:43 And whereas thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay,
they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men; but they shall
not cleave one to another, even as iron doth not mingle with clay.
Dan 2:44 And in the days of those kings shall the God of heaven
set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed, nor shall the
sovereignty thereof be left to another people; but it shall break in
pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
Dan 2:45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that a stone was cut out of
the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the
brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made
known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the
dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

So accurate that skeptics say it
must be written after the
fulfilment.
However, the Septuagint was
written 3rd century BC before
Roman empire.
Also the presence of Aramaic
language in the text proves its
500 BC period.
Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are decreed upon thy people
and upon thy holy city, to finish transgression, and to
make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for
iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and
to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most
holy.
Dan 9:25 Know therefore and discern, that from the
going forth of the commandment to restore and to build
Jerusalem unto the anointed one, the prince, shall be
seven weeks: and threescore and two weeks, it shall be
built again, with street and moat, even in troublous
times.
Daniel's Visions, Accuracy of his Prophecies
HOW ACCURATE IS DANIEL
The accuracy of Daniel's prophecies is one of the reasons that so many
skeptics advance the theory that the Book of Daniel was written around
162 BC by a Hellenist Jew named Judas Maccabaeus. The skeptic
cannot reconcile Daniel's precision in any other way short of the obvious
acceptance of God's inspiration, an apparently unacceptable choice. But
the following aspect of the prophecy cannot be explained away by late
dating.
Daniel's vision, in particular that part dealing with the first 69 weeks,
intrigued Sir Robert Anderson, a retired Scotland Yard Inspector of the
late 19th Century. Daniel 9 v.25 predicts: "Know and discern that from
the issuing of a decree to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the
Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty two weeks“ - Daniel's 70
Weeks.
In other words, using the issuance of the only
decree that authorized the rebuilding of both
the city of Jerusalem and the Temple as a
starting point (given by Artaxerxes
Longimanus of Persia), 483 years later
should bring us to the time of Jesus.
Sir Robert calculated these 7 weeks, plus 62
weeks or 483 years (69 x 7 = 483). Virtually
every fair authority to examine them since
has confirmed his calculations.

Archaeology
“Three major expeditions to the site over
the past 90 years uncovered abundant
evidence to support the Biblical account,"
he said. As Wood went on to point out,
John Garstang ( 1930-1936) and
Kathleen Kenyon (1952-1958) both dug at
Jericho for six seasons and a German
excavation directed by Ernst Sellin and
Carl Watzinger dug for three. All found
abundant evidence of the city’s
destruction by fire in a layer related to the
Biblical date of 1400 BC.
THE "HOUSE OF DAVID": At Tel Dan in upper Galilee in Northern
Israel a fragment of an inscription on basalt stone has been
uncovered. It was part of the paving near the entrance of the outer
gate of the ancient city of Dan. In 1992, in order to tidy up the site
for presentation to visitors, a heap of debris was removed which
dated from the time of the Assyrian destruction of the city by
Tiglath-pileser lll - no doubt a legacy of his campaign against
northern Israel. [2 Kings 15v29] Unexpectedly, a hitherto unknown
gateway to the city was uncovered. The entrance led to a courtyard
where stood a low stone platform large enough to take a throne.
This possibly marked the place where the king would sit on
ceremonial occasions. The Scriptures allude to such a custom
when Ahab king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat in the
gate of Samaria. [1 Kings 22v10] The inscription is a section of a
victory stela (commemorative stone) about the conquests of one of
the kings of Aram, recording the defeat of his foes, sometime in the
9th century BC. The inscription is written in Aramaic (a language
closely related to early Hebrew) and is unique because it is the first
reference found outside the Bible to 'The House of David.'
History proves the Bible true:
Josephus ben Matthias is the best known ancient Jewish
historian.
He recorded information about Jewish wars and the history
of the Jewish people.
In Josephus’ book ‘Jewish Antiquities’ he tells us some
important information about
Jesus (Jewish Antiquities 18.3.3)
- Jesus was a teacher
- He was the Christ
- He did wonderful works
- He had a brother named James
- Jesus was crucified under Pilate
- He rose from the dead on the third day

The first physical evidence relating to Pilate was
discovered in 1961, when a block of limestone, the
Pilate Stone, was found in the Roman theatre at
Caesarea Maritima, the capital of the province of

Pilate of a Tiberieum, the dedication states that he was

block of limestone, the Pilate Stone, was
found in the Roman theatre at Caesarea
Maritima, the capital of the province of
Judaea (Iudaea). Bearing a damaged
dedication by Pilate of a Tiberieum, the
dedication states that he was [...]ECTVS
IUDA[...] (usually read as praefectus
Iudaeae), that is, prefect of Judaea.
