Our Catholic Calendar is made of seasons which are identi-fied by specific themes. Today we return to Ordinary Time in the Liturgical Calendar. Our liturgical color during ordi-nary time is green which represents life and hope.

On the Sundays of Ordinary Time we continue celebrating the paschal mys-tery of the life, death, and resurrection of Christ, remembering the events as a community of faith and giving these their meaning within a biblical context. In the Gospel readings we hear of the life and ministry of Jesus and the call to discipleship. The readings and the sacramental life nourish us and strength-en us to deepen our baptismal commitment to go and make known the good news of the reign of God.

Summer is an ideal time for us to reflect on our spiritual lives. The readings and prayers all call on us to remember that even though the great days of the Triduum, Pentecost and Eastertide are now past, there is so much beauty to be found in the ordinary things of our daily lives.

esperanza.

Los domingos de tiempo ordinario seguimos celebrando el misterio pascual de la vida, muerte y resurrección de Cristo, recordando los acontecimientos como una comunidad de fe y dándole sentido a través de los textos bíblicos. En los Evangelios oímos hablar de

la vida y el ministerio de Jesús y el llamado al discipulado. Las lecturas y la vida sacramental nos alimentan y fortalecen para profundizar nuestro compromiso bautismal de ir y dar a cono-cer la buena nueva del Reino de Dios.

El verano es tiempo ideal para reflexionar sobre nuestra vida espiritual. Las lecturas y oraciones de la misa nos llaman a recordar que aunque hayan ya pasado las grandes celebracio-nes del Triduo Pascual, Pentecostés y tiempo de Pascua, aun hay muchas cosas bellas por encontrar en el tiempo ordinario.

June 5, 2016 STEWARDSHIP CORRESPONSABILIDAD This verse is a great reminder that the Stewardship lifestyle is one of service, putting God first and to “love one another.” Unfortunately today, many people have “passion” for activities they enjoy - their job and off-work activities. Many times our “passion” to excel is at the expense of someone else. Maybe we need to focus on a little less passion for our individual concerns and a lot more compassion for others.

Este verso un gran recordatorio que el estilo de vida de la Corresponsabilidad es de servicio, poniendo a Dios en primer lugar y "amándonos los unos a los otros." Desafortunadamente hoy en día, muchas personas tienen "pasión" por las actividades que disfrutan, su trabajo y actividades
