  • GIDON ARIEL is the co-founder and CEO of Root Source, the Internet’s leading platform for Orthodox Israeli Jews and Christians worldwide to learn and fellowship about their common roots, values and goals.

    A visionary and pioneer in Jewish-Christian relations, Gidon made Aliyah to Israel when he was 14 and spent close to a decade in advanced Jewish studies institutes (Yeshivas) and the IDF.

    Gidon serves in the IDF reserves as a Captain in the Military Spokesperson’s Office after spending over 20 years in the Armored (Tank) Corps. Raised an Orthodox Jew, he has kept Jewish traditions his entire life, and is a seasoned Hebrew and Judaism Instructor.

    Trey earned a Bachelor’s degree in Leadership from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master’s of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. After West Point, Trey served his country as a Field Artillery Officer in the United States Army.

  • TO U R I T I N E R A R Y

    Day 1: Tuesday, April 10

    Arrival day to Israel. For those who arrive to TLV by 4:00 pm, you may join the bus departing from Ben Gurion Airport to our hotel in Galilee.

    We will visit Caesarea on the way to our hotel in the Galilee, where we will have dinner and an orientation for all participants.

    Day 2: Wednesday, April 11

    After breakfast, we will visit the Yigal Alon Museum and the world famous “Jesus Boat.” We will take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee and enjoy a Saint Peter’s Fish lunch

    In the afternoon, we will visit Capernaum on the northern side of Sea of Galilee, the center of the activities of Jesus and his hometown, and then visit the Mount of Beatitudes- the site of the Sermon on the Mount.

    Overnight stay in Galilee.

    Day 3: Thursday, April 12

    Today is Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Memorial Day. A siren will be heard throughout the Land at 10 AM.

    We will visit Nazareth with Church of the Annunciation. After lunch, we will continue our journey up onto the Golan Heights to visit the Katzrin Museum and then to Caesarea Philippi (Banias), a site Jesus visited as per Matthew 16:13-19.

    Overnight stay in Galilee.

    Day 4: Friday, April 13

    After personal prayer time and breakfast, we will check out of our Galilee hotel and drive south through the beautiful Jordan Valley to visit the newly excavated Bet Shean, capital of Roman Palestine. View Jericho and ascend to Jerusalem to receive the Shabbat. We will join Jewish families for the traditional Shabbat Dinner, an experience of a lifetime!

    Day 5: Saturday, April 14

    We will enter the the Old City of Jerusalem via the Jaffa gate to visit the four quarters (Armenian, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim) and enjoy the breathtaking underground excavations. We will visit the David’s Citadel Museum amidst the buildings of old Jerusalem. Later, we’ll continue along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Pool of Bethesda.

    Overnight stay in Jerusalem.

    Day 6: Sunday, April 15

    Today we start our journey by descending to the lowest point on Earth: the Dead Sea. We will drive to Masada, the desert stronghold, the site of the Jewish zealots’ last stand against the Romans. Ascent and descent will be by cable car.

    See the Qumran Caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered and enjoy a floating experience in the Dead Sea.

  • Sunday afternoon we will attend services at King of Kings Community Church in Jerusalem.

    Overnight stay in Jerusalem.

    Day 7: Monday, April 16

    This morning you will visit Yad Vashem, the official Holocaust Memorial museum, and Mount Herzl, Israel’s National Military Cemetery.

    After a break for lunch, we will visit the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, and meet with Knesset members. Afterwards, we will visit the Israel Museum with the Model of Ancient Jerusalem and the Dead Sea scrolls.

    Late afternoon, we will drive down to Genesis Land for a Biblical dinner in a tent with our forefather Abraham including dinner speakers whilst viewing Mount Nevo on the opposite hills of Jordan.

    Day 8: Tuesday, April 17

    After breakfast, we will enter the Old City of Jerusalem again to visit the Temple Mount and study the Southern wall excavations at the Davidson Center with a brand new multimedia center showing life in Jerusalem 2000 years ago. We will then visit Mt. Zion to see David’s Tomb, the Room of the Last Supper, and Dormition Abbey, and then cross into the City of David with its amazing recent archaeological discoveries. In the afternoon, we will visit the Garden Tomb.

    This evening is the start of Yom Hazikaron, which is Israel’s Official Memorial Day for her fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism

    and starts with a nationwide siren at 8:00 pm.

    Day 9: Wednesday, April 18

    Today, Memorial Day, we will travel to Kfar Etzion in the Judean Hills between Jerusalem and Hebron in the southern West Bank. We will visit the Gush Etzion military cemetery to pray and place flowers in memory of those that fell in combat while defending the State of Israel or victims of terrorism. We will also visit Hebron and the Cave of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs.

    At nightfall, we will participate in a moving ceremony transitioning between Memorial Day and Independence Day with real Israelis.

    Day 10: Thursday, April 19

    Happy Independence Day! Israel is 71 years young! Today we travel to Tel Aviv via the Ayalon Valley to visit the Ayalon Institute and continue to visit Old Jaffa (Ancient Port on the Mediterranean) and the vibrant City of Tel Aviv.

    After lunch, we will drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity and Shepherds Field, and enjoy a Farewell Dinner in a Bethlehem Tent restaurant.

    Day 11: Friday, April 20

    The tour ends with breakfast at your hotel. You will have time for souvenir shopping in Jerusalem and we will transfer by coach to Ben Gurion airport for your flight home. Shalom and Lehitraot)
