St. Ann Catholic School will be hosting a school auction Oct. 25th. All proceeds will go back into the school operational fund to support our students academically and financially. With so many people in our parish, please consider donating your time, talents, or gifts to this great charitable event to benefit our school. A plan to replace our current chiller has been developed. Because our current chiller is running at only 50% of its capacity indicating it is nearing the end of its useful life, Arvel Childers, Facilities Manager, has been investigating replacement chillers. Fr. Merrill, with the support of the Finance Council, has put together a plan to replace our current chiller. The new chiller will be ordered at the end of this year and should be ready for installation in late March 2020.
The cost of the equipment and installation is expected to be near $200,000 based on research and quotes received. We will use Maintenance Funds collected beginning 6/1/19 (with the building debt paid). Maintenance funds collected before this date are designated for other maintenance needs. Please watch the financial column in the bulletin for weekly updates. Our hope is that we can raise the necessary funds for the new chiller without having to borrow money.

Note for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion:
We made a small change in our procedures since we no longer go up on the altar to receive our vessel. These procedures will formally begin the weekend of October 5/6th.
Instead of Cup 6, we are using the term Lead Cup (L). Please check the new diagram for positions.
Receiving Communion:
If the priest is not assisted by a deacon or acolyte, The Lead Cup (L) goes to the foot of the altar to receive the Blood of Christ from the priest as the priest returns to the altar. If the deacon is distributing the Body
of Christ, the Lead Cup (L) should go to the foot of the altar immediately after consuming the Body of Christ to receive the Blood of Christ from the priest.
The Lead Cup (L) retains the cup, takes the purificator, wipes the rim, and then distributes the Blood of Christ to each minister in the same manner as the priest or deacon distributed the body of Christ and
then goes to his/her position. The ministers remain stationary in the line while the Lead Cup (L) moves
down the line. Receiving the Vessel: After receiving the cup or ciborium from the priest at the foot of the altar, each minister should move
directly to their assigned location for distribution.
