A YEAR IN REVIEW The Paramount’s most recently completed fiscal year was another one filled with success and community impact. With 299 events, including live performances by the award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir and comedian Eddie Izzard on the stage, and award-winning broadcasts like the Metropolitan Opera Live in HD, the National Theatre Live in HD series, the Royal Opera House’s Royal Ballet, and more on the screen, there was rarely a moment of quiet at the Theater.

The Paramount Theater hosted more than 111,000 patrons which included a record-breaking Arts Education season with 18,667 students and teachers for 10 titles with 23 live performances on stage.

Additionally, the Mary P. Reese Community Access Fund provided free tickets to members of our community who otherwise would not have access to the arts at The Paramount, serving more than 1,381 individuals from 38 nonprofit partners. This year alone, The Paramount hosted 40 community events, which were free and open to the community.

As a nonprofit, we are particularly pleased to be entering another year of reporting a positive financial year end. Only 62% of our annual revenue is generated by operations with the remaining 38% of revenue coming from our generous donors.

As the recipient two years prior of the Outstanding Historic Theatre Award by the League of Historic American Theatres, The Paramount took this honor to heart and again curated a season of diverse programming filled with deep community impact and broad based partnerships. This year was again dedicated in part to the many who made this award possible.

From the variety of events to the richness of outreach programs and partnerships with diverse community groups and nonprofits, the support and patronage of the community allows The Paramount to accomplish its mission and community goals. The task is not simple, but we are committed to securing the future of The Paramount as a place for the arts to continue to flourish in impact and reach for our community as a whole.
