14. THE INCEPTION OF NCC MCC T-SHIRTS
3rd March 2018 - 10th March 2018
“The idea of an NCC t-shirt customized for MCC cadets already existed in the minds of the
cadets from the batch of 2015. We were able to realise and finally actualize the idea in 2018. We
observed that other institutions had cotton t-shirts. We thought of something different and chose
dry fit as our t-shirt material. We visited Marsh Clothing in Chamrajpet and learned about
various printing techniques used on clothes. We even considered embroidery. The technique of
sublimation best suited our needs and budget. Within a week of giving a design of the t-shirt to
Marsh Clothing, the t-shirts were ready to be collected. We collected the 84 t-shirts (Rs 300
each) and made personalized quote tags which we attached to the t-shirts.
We are overwhelmed by the positive response we got from not just the cadets but also various
people from NCC. It was a major success. We hope that someday 1 Karnataka Girls BN will
adopt the same t-shirts.”
