Prayer List

Mass and Intentions

Father Patrick Murphy-In Loving Memory

When Bishop Foley formed our parish, Fr. Patrick Murphy was named our first pastor. Fr. Murphy, though retired,

eagerly accepted the challenges of building the new Saint Mark the Evangelist. Fr. Murphy's reputation of

welcoming all to a challenge, involving all in every aspect of building, staffing, creating committees, funding and

organizing was well know. He was perfect for the job at hand. All who met him loved him and when he

unabashedly summoned you, you more than likely said yes.

Fr. Murphy passed away on Sept. 16, 2000, never seeing the new Church building. In his honor it was decided to

dedicate the Church on the anniversary of his passing into eternal life and celebrate an annual picnic in

remembrance.

Lord, we thank you for the gift of Fr. Patrick Murphy May he rest in peace.

RCIA WILL BEGIN THIS MONDAY SEPT. 17 at 7:00 PM IN THE PARISH LIFE CENTER!

Have you thought of joining the Catholic Church?

Were you Baptized Catholic but have not received First Eucharist or Confirmation?

Would you like to know more about the Catholic

Church? If so, then RCIA is for you!

Come join us on Monday, Sept. 17 at 7:00 PM in the parish life center. Pre-registration is not necessary. If

you have a sponsor, please invite them too. No Sponsor? We will help with that, too.

Questions? Need information? Please contact: Phil Boettcher 205 541 5625 or [email protected]
