Address Address Address Address Address Address 28 September 2017 Dear The Hinkley Point C (Nuclear Generating Station) Order 2013 – S.I. 2013 No. 648 Application for a Non-Material Change in relation to the Hinkley Point C Development Site Consultation under Regulation 7 of the Infrastructure Planning (Changes to, and Revocation of, Development Consent Orders) Regulations 2011 In March 2013, the Secretary of State granted a Development Consent Order (DCO) authorising construction of a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point in Somerset, known as Hinkley Point C, and associated development (Project). Over the past four years, NNB Generation Company (HPC) Limited (referred to in this letter as "EDF Energy") has been working with its delivery partners to ensure that the Project is delivered effectively and efficiently. As a result of this process, EDF Energy is now seeking consent from the Secretary of State to vary the provisions made in the DCO for infrastructure at the Hinkley Point C Main Development Site. The application seeks consent for the following non-material changes, with further details provided in the Application Statement accompanying the application: the redesign of some of the permanent buildings; the erection of additional pipework along the underside of the temporary jetty to enable discharges from the site; an alteration to the alignment of the sea wall.

EDF Energy is carrying out consultation on this application. PARAGRAPH 2 OF REGULATION 6 OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNING (CHANGES TO, AND REVOCATION OF, DEVELOPMENT CONSENT ORDERS) REGULATIONS 2011/2055 

NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO MAKE A NON‐MATERIAL CHANGE TO THE FOLLOWING DEVELOPMENT CONSENT ORDER: 

 

The Hinkley Point C (Nuclear Generating Station) Order 2013 (SI 2013:648) 

1. The  contact details of  the  applicant  are: NNB Generation Company  (HPC)  Limited  (C/o  The Qube 90 Whitfield  Street, London W1T 4EZ;  email: carly.vince@edf‐energy.com). 

2. NNB Generation Company (HPC) Limited (referred to in the application and this notice as EDF Energy) is seeking, by way of an application to the Secretary of State, a change to be made to the abovementioned Development Consent Order which is not material.  

3. The application seeks to make non‐material changes to elements of the Hinkley Point C main development site as follows: 

the redesign of some of the permanent buildings; 

the erection of additional pipework along the underside of the temporary jetty to enable discharges from the site;  

an alteration to the alignment of the sea wall. 

4. The  application  documents  and  plans  showing  the  nature  and  location  of  the  land  concerned  can  be  viewed  on  the Planning  Inspectorate’s website:  https://infrastructure.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/projects/south‐west/hinkley‐point‐c‐new‐nuclear‐power‐station/
