Capacities for various boom lengths and operatingradii are for freely suspended loads and arecalculated to comply with BS 1757-1986 clause 9,I.S.O. 4305 and BS 2573 part 1 – 1983 tables 5(a) and6(a). Capacities based on structural competence aredenoted by an asterisk(*).

Upper boom point capacity for liftcrane service withsingle part whip line is 9 070kg. In all cases, upperboom point capacities cannot exceed those listed forthe main boom capacity.

Weight of jib, all load blocks, hooks, weight ball, slingshoist lines, etc., beneath boom and jib point sheaves, isconsidered part of the main boom load. Boom is notto be lowered beyond radii where combined weightsare greater than rated capacity.Where no capacity isshown, operation is not intended or approved.

Machine to operate in a level position on a firmuniformly supporting surface with crawlers fullyextended (5 093mm) and gantry up. Refer to boomrigging no. 169352 and wire rope specification chart no.7554-A. Crane operator judgement must be used toallow for dynamic load effects of swinging, hoisting orlowering, travel, wind conditions, as well as adverseoperating conditions and physical machine depreciation.

Machine may be operated in winds up to thoseshown in table provided crane operator judgement is

used to allow for wind effect on the lifted load andother considerations noted on the capacity chart arefollowed. Wind will have a considerable effect on aload with a large ‘sail area’ and must be compensatedfor accordingly by reducing load ratings, reducingoperating speeds or by a combination of both.Recommend stopping operation when wind is abovethose shown in table and tieing off or lowering boomwhen wind is above 16 m/s.

Machine to travel on a firm, level and uniformlysupporting surface and boom within the boom anglerange shown in capacity chart.

Operating radius is the horizontal distance from theaxis of rotation to the centre of vertical hoist lineor load block. Boom angle is the angle betweenhorizontal and centreline of boom butt and inserts, and is an indication of operating radius. In all cases, operating radius shall govern capacity. Boom pointelevation is vertical distance from ground level tocentreline of boom point shaft.

Machine equipped with 6 807mm extendiblecrawlers, 914mm treads, 5 791mm retractablegantry, 12 part boom hoist reeving, two 35mm boompendants, 1st counterweight = 18 140kg, and 2ndcounterweight = 2 950kg and two 1 540kg crawlerframe counterweights.
