For the statistics about youths we wanted to use the hood to represent the percentage of the population.

To do this I first took our research statistics and put them into Microsoft Excel. I then worked out what he best percentage and number of animated people would be best to use.

The next stage was to create the people themselves.

I did this by using two separate shape tools. The circle for the head and rounded rectangle for the body.

To then form the hood I used various sized semi circles.

We then had 20 un-hooded cartoons to represent 100%

The hoods then appeared subsequently according to the percentage of youths in the statistic.

To get the effect I replicated the original twenty times.

I then worked out what number of hood I needed to ascertain the correct percentage and inserted the required number of hoods.

To make them appear gradually I used the smaller hood first and graduated the size so they appear to be going up.

I used key frames in premier to regulate the speed and timings of the rising.
