Es wurden Füh-rungsinstrumente entwickelt, die auf diese spezifischen Anforderungen der Führung virtueller Teams abgestimmt sind. Diese decken die Bereiche bewus-ste Mediennutzung, Steuerung sozialer Prozesse und Um-gang mit Komplexi-tät in Projekten ab.

In Interviews mit 29 Führungskräften und mittels schriftlicher Befragung ihrer ver-teilten Teams wurden die für das Telemanage-ment spezifischen Schwierigkeiten, Führungs-konzepte und Kommunikationsstrategien erhoben.

This research is a pilot study that begins a formal, qualitative study of a diverse group of EDG moderators and their own perceptions of their roles, tasks, and responsibilities. The questions explored in this particular research project are: -What do public electronic discussion group moderators think the role(s) of a EDG moderator should be? -What is their rationale for their activity: i.e. why do they believe discussion lists should or should not be moderated? -How did they get started as moderators; i.e. how did they learn their craft? -Where does their moderating activities fit within the framework of their lives?

This longitudinal pilot study compared the developmental patterns of groups in three types of electronically supported meeting modes: face-to-face, dispersed-synchronous, and dispersed-asynchronous. The modes differed primarily in interactivity, channel capacity, and synchronicity. Comparisons were made along several behavioral and socio-technical dimensions which influence the group development process.

Effects of teleconferencing technologies: An exploration of comprehension, feedback, satisfaction and role-related differences

In this study, it was hypothesized that different teleconferencing technologies would allow different levels of feedback based on their ability to accommodate nonverbal signals, and this in turn would affect comprehension. An experimental study was conducted to compare comprehension, feedback, and satisfaction in telephone and computer conferencing. The study confirmed that comprehension and speaker satisfaction are related to feedback, but failed to show a relationship between listener satisfaction and feedback.
