The EcoVillage is designed as a small, sustainable addition to the town of Angwin, creating a new center and supporting the financial viability of the college. The EcoVillage has at its heart a Square with a market, local stores with apartments above, and an inn. Flanking neighborhoods include a mix of townhomes, cottages and village houses surrounded by a community-supported organic farm. Sustainable initiatives include solar panels on all buildings, recycled water for irrigation, geothermal pumps for heat, public shuttle to St. Helena and enhanced walkways and bike paths to reduce auto trips. Angwin EcoVillage
