O ne hundred thirty-five entries were shown at the 2014 Western National Angus Futurity (WNAF) Super Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show April 19 in Reno, Nev. Scott Schaake, Manhattan, Kan., evaluated the 105 females, 28 bulls and two cow-calf pairs before selecting champions at the 62nd WNAF. Silveira’s S Sis GQ 2353 claimed the grand champion bull title. Silveira Bros., Firebaugh, Calif., and Sydney Schnoor, Chowchilla, Calif., own the April 2012 son of Silveira’s Style 9303 that first topped the junior division. Express Angus Ranches, Yukon, Okla., owns the reserve grand champion bull that first won senior calf champion. EXAR First Advance 5702B is a September 2012 son of Dameron First Class. Schnoor exhibited the grand champion female, EXAR Winnie 5291. The September 2011 daughter of Dameron First Class first won senior champion. EXAR Envious Blackbird 2611 captured reserve grand champion female for Schnoor. The January 2012 daughter of Dameron First Class earlier won junior champion. McCoy Peggy Sue 035-732 won grand champion cow- calf pair. Shelby Burrus, Tacoma, Wash., showed the November 2010 daughter of EXAR Unanimous 81010. Her November 2013 heifer calf sired by SAV Brilliance 8077 completes the winning pair. Nicholas Sheridan, Yamhill, Ore., owns the reserve grand champion cow- calf pair. KD Precious 1104 is an October 2010 daughter of BC Matrix 4132. A January 2014 bull calf sired by SAV Free Spirit 8164 completes the winning duo. Express Angus Ranches won breeders’ best six head and Premier Breeder. The show was dedicated to Wendy Hall, Arroyo Grande, Calif. Eric Celigoy, Blue Drifter Ranch, Issaquah, Wash., won Herdsman of the Year. A complete list of winners follows.

One hundred thirty-five entries were shown at the 2014 Western

National Angus Futurity (WNAF) Super Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show April 19 in Reno, Nev. Scott Schaake, Manhattan, Kan., evaluated the 105 females, 28 bulls and two cow-calf pairs before selecting champions at the 62nd WNAF.

Silveira’s S Sis GQ 2353 claimed the grand champion bull title. Silveira Bros., Firebaugh, Calif., and Sydney Schnoor, Chowchilla, Calif., own the April 2012 son of Silveira’s Style 9303 that first topped the junior division. Express Angus Ranches, Yukon, Okla., owns the reserve grand champion bull that first won senior calf champion. EXAR First Advance 5702B is a September 2012 son of Dameron First Class.
