ANDREW BREITHAUPT PROFESSOR SHERIDAN COLLEGE Ontario Canada, 1994-2005 Engaging and passionate educator with 10 years experience teaching young adults in a college setting. Versatile creative artist with over 25 years experience in Illustration and design. Strong digital and traditional illustration skills, proven visual communicator and creative problem solver. Andrew majored in Technical Illustration at Sheridan College. There he developed and refined his traditional skills such as life drawing, object drawing, graphic design, conceptual process, painting and reprographics. He continued sharing his time between school work and client work throughout college doing editorial, conceptual and advertising illustration jobs. Two years after graduating, he was honored to return to Sheridan College as a third year computer studies and reprographics professor in the Illustration program. Over the next ten years, he taught thousands of eager students more than a dozen software packages, including 2D, 3D, static and motion graphics suites. His teaching broadened to Sheridan's Interactive Media post-graduate course and many specialized workshops. From the beginning he was required to create his own original, leading edge curriculum, drawing on the real world, hands on experience he had acquired from his commercial work. By 2005, when he left Sheridan to move abroad with his young family, he had logged over 4000 hours of time instructing, while simultaneously running his own successful illustration and design business. Having enjoyed a decade of stay-at-home fatherhood in Europe, Andrew is ready and eager to begin the next chapter of his career.
