1. 1. ANDON ANDON refer to a system to notify management, maintenance and other workers of a quality or process problem. The alert can be activated manually by operator using a switch or pull-cord, or may be activated automatically by the production equipment itself . ANDON may be activated due to part shortage, defective product found, tools or equipment malfunction or safety problem occurs.
