3. Attach Handles to Door Panel
Mounting Studs into Exterior Handle.
Interior andExterior Handleover handlemounting holes. Make sure Interiorand ExteriorHandles face toward glass side of panel.
#8 x 2" Oval Head Threaded Bolt tighten bolts securely. DO NOTovertighten bolts.
4-Panel doors repeat Steps 1 and3for secondarypanel.

4. Install Latch Lever and Lock Assembly
Lock Assembly, button-end down, into slot on edge of panel. Make sure Lock Assembly is fully seated intopanel and button is on bottom.
Latch Lever into middle hole on panel.
AndersenPerma-Shield Gliding Patio Doors Only
The Trim Plate or Cover Plate is not used on opposite side of panel with AndersenPerma-ShieldGliding Patio
Covington, Newbury, Encino, and YumaHardware,position Trim Plate over remaining set of holes on
opposite side of panel and press fit into place. Whitmore, Anversand AlbanyHardware, position Cover Plate over remaining set of holes on opposite side
of panel and fasten using #8 x 1 3/4" Oval Head Screws.
TribecaHardware, position Cover Plate over remaining set of holes on opposite side of panel and fasten Oval Head Wood Screws.
2-Paneldoors proceed to Step 5, for 4-Paneldoors proceed to Step 11.
Lock Assembly and Latch Lever to panel with two #8 x 1 3/4" Oval Head Screws using a Phillipsscrewdriver. Secure bottom screw first for proper positioning.

5. Attach Latch Receiver (2-Panel Doors Only)
Latch Receiver to receiver jamb using two#8 x 7/8" Machine Screws. DO NOTfully tighten screwsto allow movement up and down for final positioning.

13. Check Latch Operation (4-Panel Doors Only)
Latch Lever to vertical or lockedposition. The latch should engage receiver smoothlyand pull door panels together for a snug fit.
Latch fails to engage Latch Receiver,the LatchReceiverand receiver pin are not aligned. RepeatStep 6 and12.
