Remember, you’re an entrepreneur and getting the word out will help you book, sell & sponsor, build brand awareness, and create new connections. how do I SHARE?Sharing is easy! We recommend sharing our fabulous marketing materials via email, in a social media post (we love Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter) or in a text message.

HOW DO I USUALLY COMMUNICATE WITH THIS PERSON?

You want to receive an answer so reach out like you normally would. Don’t be shy! You have an amazing business and opportunity to share. People want what you have to offer.

IS MY MESSAGE PERSONAL AND GENUINE?

You can easily save a few sample templates and have them ready to go (see our sample posts later in this guide), but make sure to personalise each message when you reach out directly. Mention how nice it was to run into her at yoga or that you love her recent wedding pics. Personalizing a message builds a better connection right from the start.

WOULD I BE EXCITED TO RECEIVE THIS MESSAGE?

It’s always great to re-read a message from a different point of view and ask this question. After all, if you wouldn’t be excited, how can you expect her to be? Make sure to keep it simple, fun, visually pleasing and beneficial to her in some way.

WHEN REACHING OUT DIRECTLY - “WARMING UP” A PROSPECTIVEYou have a different relationship with each person you know, so each time you reach out to share the Stylist opportunity, book a Trunk Show or share the style, ask yourself these 3 simple questions:

WHEN REACHING OUT TO A GROUPShare fun posts on your social media accounts and in your monthly customer email when you simply want to increase brand awareness and share the style. Make sure to include beautiful images, contact info and an exciting message. Don’t expect a response about hosting or becoming a Stylist though - that’s what direct messages are for! These posts are simply to keep your followers engaged and excited. You never know who will see one of your posts and reach out in the future!

how often should I SHARE?Oh the debate of oversharing vs. not sharing enough. What is too much? What is not enough? And what is just right? While there is no magic answer to this question (especially in the digital age), we do have a few tips to help you decide:

TIP #1: BE MINDFUL ABOUT HOW OFTEN YOU POST. We recommend posting on Facebook 2-3 times per week and Instagram and Twitter every day. You want to keep family and friends engaged and excited, not overwhelmed.

TIP #2: POST WHEN YOU HAVE SOMETHING NEW AND EXCITING TO SHARE, SUCH AS A LINE LAUNCH OR HOOPLA. You want to share posts that add value for other people so that they want to read each time you post.

TIP #3: THINK OF YOURSELF AS MARKETING THE LIFE OF A STYLIST. Vary your posts between being at a Trunk Show, showcasing new arrivals, showing how you wear the style, attending Stella & Dot events and personal photos with family and friends.

PERSONAL FOLLOW-UP IS ESSENTIALK E E P C O N N E C T I N G !

Think of social media and email as the way you ‘warm up’ prospective Hostesses and/or Stylists to self-market your business online, but ALWAYS follow up by phone or in

person. An in-person connection still has technology beat! Be effective with your time on social media so that you have plenty of time to follow-up!

should I HOST AN ONLINE SHOW?While online Trunk Shows can be a great way to add incremental sales or increase engagement after an in-person Trunk Show, keep in mind that the online Trunk Show yields fewer orders and fewer total sales. A successful Trunk Show should be £850 and 5 orders. If you choose to hold an online show in a Facebook group, coach your Hostess to invite 200+ guests and reach out personally to her top 20 prospects.

should I reach out DIRECTLY OR IN MASS MESSAGES?

Both! You want to reach out directly and in mass messages - it just depends on what you are trying to accomplish! If you are trying to reach out to a prospective Hostess or Stylist, send a personalised message and make sure to follow up within 24 hours. Include something you know about her personally and either a piece of jewellery you think she would like (for prospective Hostesses) or a reason you think she would make an amazing Stylist (for prospective Stylists). If you simply want to share the style, build brand awareness or share exciting news, post a mass message. Keep it FUN and include a gorgeous image and your contact info or link to your PWS so people remember it later!
