DSD Shear Load Connector
Lockable DowelNew Zealand Patent No. 583887
Lockable Dowels have been designed byAncon for use at temporary movement joints inconcrete frames. These dowels allow initialshrinkage of the concrete to take place and arethen locked in position with a mechanical plateand a controlled amount of epoxy resin. Thelocked dowels continue to transfer shear, butprevent further movement taking place.
Punching Shear ReinforcementAncon Shearfix consists of double-headedstuds welded to flat rails. It is used within a slabto provide additional reinforcement aroundcolumns, protecting the slab from the effects ofpunching shear. Free design software isavailable.
Products for Structural Concrete
Accommodating ShearShear Load ConnectorsInstalled at expansion and contraction joints,Ancon shear load connectors are more effectiveat both transferring load and accommodatingmovement than plain dowel bars. Each connectoris a two-part assembly, comprising a sleeve anda dowel component. Products are available forjoints in ground bearing and suspended slabs.Free design software is available.

MBT ETBolted Coupler
Ancon BT Couplers
The BT system is one of the smallest and themost cost-effective coupler systems in ourrange, when used on large scale, high couplervolume projects. The ends of the bars areenlarged and a parallel thread is cut onto theends to suit the threaded coupler. The coupleris assembled using a pipe or chain wrench.Calibrated wrenches are not necessary.
KSN Threaded AnchorsThe Ancon KSN Threaded Anchor minimisescongestion in a wall. Connection to the anchorcan be made with either a BT threaded bar or ametric bolt.

Cast-in ChannelsWhen fixing to concrete, Halfen cast-in channelsprovide almost unlimited adjustment along theline of the channel and can eliminate expensivesite drilling. Halfen channels are available in hotdipped galvanised steel or stainless steel, depending on the level of corrosion resistancerequired.
Sandwich Panel AnchorsHalfen sandwich panel anchors connect thefacing and load-bearing componentsof a sandwich panel together, transferring the stresses acting onthe front of the building to theload-bearing structure behind.

HeliBarHeliBars are slim, stainless steel helical bars thatcan be cut to any length to suit a variety ofapplications.
In remedial settings, HeliBars are bonded intomasonry with HeliBond grout to provide aquick, simple, effective and permanent meansof stabilising cracked masonry and of creatingmasonry beams to distribute loads.
In new build settings, HeliBars offer an idealmeans of cost-effectively providing newmasonry structures with reliable, long-term,engineered reinforcement.
Remedial Wall TiesWall ties are an important structural componentin cavity and veneer construction that connectbrick, block and stone masonry to internalstructural elements and other masonry leaves.Masonry suffering from failed, omitted orinadequate wall tie systems is prone tocatastrophic collapse and most vulnerableduring high winds and seismic events.
There are Helifix remedial ties for all situationsand materials. DryFix ties are probably thequickest and most cost-effective ties available.Requiring no grouts or resins, they are simplypower-driven into the masonry and substratematerial, via a small pilot hole, using a specialattachment which leaves the tie recessed belowthe face. RetroTies are dry-fixed at one end andresin bonded at the other. ResiTies are resin-bonded at both ends. BowTies are used to tiemasonry to internal floor joists. CemTies providea versatile grouted wall tie system for stabilisingsolid masonry.
Helifix products are extremely versatile and havebeen successfully used to overcome a widerange of structural faults, restoring integrity tovirtually every type of building from churches tomodern tower blocks, and bridges and tunnelsto domestic, residential housing. Repairs arecompleted quickly and in a sympathetic andnon-disruptive manner leaving the structurevisually unaltered but fully stabilised.
