Analysis on the basis of awareness of promotional scheme
Here the question about awareness of different promotional schemes was asked and what I found
is most of the people know the existence of promotional scheme while 16 respondent out of 200
found not aware about promotional scheme. The reason behind this 16 response was that most of
them are students from other stream like B.E, B.Sc, Arts etc they are not able to understand the
words promotional scheme. It was surprising to know in this research.
Analysis of various schemes for garment
Here most of people know three type of scheme more i.e. Discount offers, SALE and Free,
because of most of the garment store have these type of scheme available and also these are the
basic and traditional scheme which most of the people know. While less number of people areaware about schemes like Free gift vouchr, Additional purchase offer, Successive discount offer
etc. the reason behind this may be these are new and latest scheme in ready made garment store
for the last two-three year.
Impact of promotional scheme while purchasing cloths
Here 60.87% said that their purchasing decision is affected by different scheme in store
sometime while 30.43% response said that their purchasing decision is always affected by
schemes and discount offers in store. These type of response only came from students and
youngsters while 8.70% said that they are not affected by schemes and offers at all.
Here one question regarding credit was also asked in my survey in that most of the
response was in NO. while some of them also said YES these are the people from affluent areas
like Athwalines and Parlepoint. They may be thinking that their credit will be affected if they go
in store which have different discount offers and schemes.

Frequency based analysis
Here, most of the respondent was agree that it is cheaper to by cloths under promotional
scheme than general purchasing because of their attitude towards promotional schemes was
found quite positive. while 18 response said that they are not agree and strongly disagree with
the above statement. These 18 responses are mainly from high standard living people.
In these research one question is also asked about the frequency of purchase of cloths in
one year in which I found was that response which said More than Thrice(Any Time) was
45.31% these response mainly came from students particularly collegian because their taste and
preference regarding cloths are changes with time to time when new fashion and discount offers
comes in markets.
Type of wear under promotional scheme
There are different type of wears and differs in terms of choice to different people and their
usage in terms of wear. Here party wear is most preferred by the respondent which is 42.75%
because here sample size include youngsters and collegians are chosen for the sample size and
they would like to go for party wear clothes under promotional scheme. Second prefferd choice
is formal wear and casual wear which are mostly chosen by middle aged people however there
are also some youngsters who also like to go for casual and formal wear under promotionalscheme. here preference to ladies wear is quite less because sample size included less number of
ladies and there is no response from Kids wear because of the same reason of sample size did not
included children in this research.
Forcing factor
Now a day to sustain in competitive market in ready made garment industry every one is
designing their sales promotional plan accordingly and introducing new schemes and discount
offer to attract as much customers as possible. Here in this research most of people found to be
forced to purchase clothing in promotional schemes because they feel cheaper then general
purchase. For example price of shirt may be very high but under promotional scheme it cost half
of the price to him hence he or she is most likely to purchase that shirt. Here what I found is most

of the youngsters are forced to purchase new clothes from discount offers however old and
middle aged people will not be much forced to purchase clothes in promotional scheme.
Level of visit to garment shop for last six month.
Level of visit depend on level of income and interest toward clothes. 16.67% responses came
from frequent visitors. Here one point should be noted that most frequent user go and visit shop
but it is not necessary that they purchase clothes. The percentage of rarely and sometime visitor
is the same i.e 20.83 which mainly include professional and working class people while 9.38%
people have never visited garment shop for the last six month which have promotional offers and
scheme.
Dissemination of information regarding promotional schemes to other by user
Dissemination of information by current user to other people works wonder to the seller of that
product. Here one question is asked aboutdissemination of information to others by user in that I
found most of people suggest the benefits and other positive aspect to their friends and relatives.
Here 64.83% people said that they would like to suggest various schemes and discount offers to
their friend and relatives.
Analysis on the basis of budget
The attitude changes with budget available to person. A person having budget of 1000 Rs cant
purchase clothes more than that. However promotional schemes and offers slightly forece them
to go slightly ahead from their budget i.e person can add some more money in his/her purchase
by spending 1100 or 1200Rs.
To know more about this I have added one example type of question in my survey which
says If you have selected clothes which suits on you, of your size, and is comfortable to you but
price is slightly higher than your budget and the clothe is sold under promotional scheme what
will you do?

The answer was 46.87% would like to purchase, 42.19% will not purchase and the rest of them
will postpone their purchasing decision.
Level of genuity in promotional scheme in surat city
from selected sample size in Surat city, 29.69% people said that the promotional scheme which
come is always genuine in where as 60.09% feel that promotional schemes are only some time
genuine and 9.38% people believe that scheme comes in market are not genuine at all.
