ANALYSIS OF PREVIOUS STUDENT'S

DIGIPAK

PAST STUDENTS DIGIPAKThis is the Past students Digipak I will be analysing:They chose Pixie Lott for their music video.

STRENGTHS With this Digipak I think the extra detail of the barcode on the back, as this helps it too look very professional. By the contrast of photos as well being blended into one another this is a great idea as it helps to bring more images of the artist into the album and help convince the audience to buy it as they get more photos of the artist. By the front cover also just being one photo of the artist which is larger than the title helps to bring more recognition with the artist face rather than the title this shows them to be the main star.

WEAKNESSES Weaknesses However I don't think this Digipak is the best I've seen due to some details missing normally found in a Digipak such as the song list on the back rather than a record label just stuck on the back which looks very basic and not professional by the 'Pixie Lott' also wrote on the back looks unprofessional by the white background on the such a lovely photo of Canary warf which doesn't show the artist star quality as certain things don't look like they are presented properly and just looks cheap and rushed. All of the 6 parts of the Digipak are also very dark which makes it hard to see the star, they should of varied the colours of the photos chosen on the Digipak such as the front being white and the rest having the colour scheme of black this doesn't look as if this cover should be with the rest of the pack making this again a very unprofessional Digipak.

WILL ANY OF THEIR DIGIPAK INFLUENCE YOU WHEN CREATING YOUR OWN DIGIPAK? There are a lot more weaknesses in this Digipak rather than positive however I think the fading of photos into one another is a great way too show more than one photo in each part of the Digipak, so I will experiment which doing this in our own Digipak to be able to other more than just one photo per part, as this is a great way to add more detail into your Digipak.
