Analysis of ‘Vendetta’ Poster

The Images

the two images I have used are heavily edited to add a dark gloomy effect on them. The main backdrop of the poster is a picture of a tree line below a gloomy sky. I took this image literally right outside the window at school. This tree line represents how our film is going to be set in a forest. The dark trees represent how there is death lurking in the forest as well as no escape.

The second image is a picture of the villain. I have edited his eyes to give distorted lifeless look. I have also made it transparent to make it harder to see, this adds to the mysteriousness of the character.

The Text

In terms of the text on the poster I have included the stars names at the top to draw audiences in. I have also included the title ‘vendetta’ in a deep red colour to draw the eye. This is typical of thriller posters as it represents blood.I have also included a “coming soon” to let the audiences know there is an upcoming film
