PRESENTATION

THE FAZZA INTERNATIONAL ATHLETICS COMPETITION WAS ORGANIZED SINCE

2009 BY DUBAI CLUB FOR THE DISABLED UNDER THE PATRONAGE OF HIS HIGHNESS

SHEIKH HAMDAN BIN MOHAMMED BIN RASHED AL MAKTOUM CROWN PRINCE

OF DUBAI, PRESIDENT OF THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL OF DUBAI.

THE FAZZA INTERNATIONAL ATHLETICS MEETING IS ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR

COMPETITIONS ALL OVER THE WORLD DUE TO HIS SERIOUS ORGANISATION AND

SPECIALY BASED TO HIGH PERFORMANCE OF ATHLETES AND ORGANISATION

LEVEL.

SINCE 2009 A REMARQUABLE INCREASES OF PARTICIPANTS NUMBER AND LEVEL IS

MENTIONNED AND THIS IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE MOST BEST ATHLETES IN

THE WORLD TAKE PART IN THIS COMPETITION.

AS AN INTERNATIONAL MEETING THE FAZZA INTERNATIONAL ATHLETICS MEETING

WAS IN ALL HIS LAST FOUR SESSIONS A SANCTIONNED IPC COMPETITION WHICH

IS A PART OF HIS EXCELLENT REPUTATION ALL OVER THE WORLD.

THE 2017 EDITION WILL BE AN IPC GRAND PRIX COMPETITION AND WILL BE THE

FIFTH EDITION AS IPC GRAND PRIX COMPETITION AFTER THE 2016 EDITION.

ATHLETES WITH DISABILITIES WHO ARE ELIGIBLE FOR COMPETITIONS UNDER THE

RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE IPC AND REGISTRED IN THE SDMS FOR THE

YEAR 2017.

GOVERNING RULES:

THE TRACK AND FIELD EVENTS WILL BE HELD IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RULES

AND REGULATIONS OF IPC.

AWARDS AND MEDALS:

VALUABLE PRICES AND MEDALS WILL BE ATTRIBUTED TO THE THREE FIRST IN

EACH EVENT, COMBINED CLASSES WILL BE CONSIDERED AS A SINGLE EVENT.

DOPING CONTROL:

ATHLETES PARTICIPATING IN THE 9th Fazza INTERNATIONAL ATHLETICS MEETING

COULD BE SUBJECT FOR DRUG TESTING ACCORDING TO IAAF, IPC AND WADA

RULES AND REGULATIONS AS MENTIONNED IN THE DECLARATION

Participant's Agreement, Waiver, Release & Acknowledgement

On acceptance of this entry, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators waive

and release all rights claims for damage I have or may have against Dubai Club for the disabled,

the sponsors and all organizers and successors that may arise because of my participation in

9th Fazza INTERNATIONAL IPC ATHLETICS GRAND PRIX MEETING 2017.

I attest and certify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the competition of

this event and my physical condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor in my

country. I agree to abide by all rules and regulations of Dubai Club for the disabled, IAAF and

IPC. further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use my

photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate

purpose including commercial advertising

NOTE:

Athletes participating in the 8th INTERNATIONAL IPC ATHLETICS GRAND PRIX MEETING 2017

could be subject to drug testing, according to IPC and WADA rules. The participation in the

competition will be considered as an acceptance to drug testing and publication of the results

to the concerned parties. Athletes found positive for banned substances will be disqualified

from this event and may lose eligibility for future competitions.

Athletes who wish to have any training on the road outside the training sessions previewed by

the LOC will do that on their own responsibility and there will be no escort for them.

APROXIMATIVELY 10 MIN FROM THE AIRPORT AND APROXIMATIVELY 15 MIN

FROM THE COMPETITION VENUE AND 5 MIN FROM DUBAI CLUB.

Transportation:

Will be organized from/to Dubai international Airport to the official Championships hotel. The

distance between the airport and hotel is 6 km; the journey takes only 10 minutes by car or

bus. The distance between competition venue and hotel is 500 meters (5 minute by bus and

500 meters walking distance (7minutes).

Visas:

Visa will be provided by LOC. In order to arrange invitation letters we ask you to provide

LOC with completed VISA Form (see attached) and copy of passport and one personal

picture. The forms must be sent to [email protected] no later than 15 January

2017.

Burj Khalifa:

World's tallest building, a living wonder, stunning work of art, incomparable feat of

engineering, Burj Khalifa is all that, in concept and execution, Burj Khalifa has no peer.

More than just the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa is an unprecedented example of

international cooperation, symbolic beacon of progress, and an emblem of the new,

dynamic and prosperous Middle East.

The Dubai Fountain designed by WET Design, can spray22,000 gallons (83,000 liters) of

water in the air at any moment. More than 6,600 lights and 25 color projectors have been

installed.

The Dubai Fountains project water in the air in many different combinations and patterns.

The beam of light shining upward from the fountain can be seen from over 20 miles away.

The fountain lake fills the gap between the Dubai Mall, The palace hotel, Souk Al Bahar and

The Address Downtown Burj Dubai.

Palm Island Dubai Palm Island Dubai (Jumeirah Palm Island) is one of the most ambitious

real- estate developments on earth, heralded as the 8th wonder of the world as it can be

seen from space along with another major landmark, The Great Wall of China.

Atlantis Dubai Atlantis Dubai is a huge tourist hotel complex is located in Dubai, opened

in impressive and huge ceremony at a cost of U.S. $ 20 million on November 20, 2008, a

project of the South African entrepreneur Sol Cairns. The hotel is located on the Palm

Jumeirah at the checkpoint north of the island; it can be reached through an underwater

tunnel on the railway line. The hotel costs up to 1,200 million.

The hotel is a form two towers connected by a bridge, the hotel has 1,539 rooms, the most

expensive suite dining table with 18 seats, located above the central arch of the building

cost approximately $ 25,000 per day. Most restaurants carry Michelin stars. It also includes

a water basin and a variety of other recreational amenities, guests can swim with dolphins

training. Treasures, debris, and other things (artificial) belonging to the legendary

continent of Atlantis can be seen from the sunken under water through roads and yards

behind the glass, which is a tunnel and underground passage.

Ski Dubai is the first INDOOR ski resort to open in the Middle East. The resort is located at

the heart of Mall of the Emirates, a famous shopping center in Dubai’s central part of the

city. The Ski Dubai arena boasts a mountain-themed 22,500 square-meter space of skiing,

snowboarding and tobogganing. If you just want to hang around and enjoy the nice

temperature which is around 3 degrees Celsius. There is also the 3,000 square-meter Snow

Park dedicated to people who just want to play in the snow with some nice slides

Dubai Marina Walk you are in the perfect position to make the most of everything Dubai

Marina has to offer. This 7 km long pedestrian walkway runs around from the start till the

end of Dubai Marina, with a string of cafés & restaurants along the waterfront and dozens

of luxury yachts and fancy speedboats moored up alongside. The Dubai Marina community

often holds events such as the Marina Market and artist’s performances at Marina Walk.

Metro Dubai driverless fully automated metro rail network in the United Arab Emirates

city of Dubai. The Red Line and Green Line are operational, with three further lines

planned. These first two lines run underground in the city center and on elevated viaducts

elsewhere (elevated railway). All trains and stations are air conditioned with platform edge

doors to make this possible.

Dubai Tram

The Dubai Tram (previously the Al Sufouh Tram) system was designed to be an integral

part of the Dubai transport network, linking the Dubai Metro and the Palm Monorail and

running along Al Sufouh Road and Jumeirah Beach Road from Mall of the Emirates at one

end to the Dubai Marina. After initially being planned for completion in 2009, when the

first phase of the Dubai Metro was completed, it was first delayed until 2012, and it was

subsequently announced that the Dubai Tram System was being delayed by another 2 years

and will now be ready in 2014 due to the downturn in the global economic c limate. In 2013

Sheikh Mohammed officially unveiled the designs for the interiors of the trains and of the

stations and plans were made to up the tempo of the development of the Dubai Tram so that

it would indeed be ready by 2014.
