Nieces and Cousins

An angel lived among us,

A gift from God above. She showered us with kindness

And shared with us her love.

She cherished every moment With the man who was her life; Walking hand in hand together,

Facing life with all its strife.

She loved her children dearly, Each one a different way,

Nestled close within her heart. Though, now, she's far away.

She's gone to live with Jesus.

But, she's here with us, today, Smiling down on every one of us,

And telling us she's okay.

We, the family of Mrs. Sam Ella Brown, would like to extend our heartfelt

appreciation and thanks to all who expressed love, concern, prayers, and all

other acts of kindness during our time of bereavement. May God bless you.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth

there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall

give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all

them also that love his appearing.

II Timothy 4: 7-8 (KJV)

Mrs. Sam Ella Brown, daughter of the late Samuel and Laura Burgess, was born in

Hebron, South Carolina on September 4, 1929. She was called home to be with the

Lord on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at home, with her daughter by her bedside.

She was married for 32 years to the late Jefferson Brown.

“Mama Brown”, as she was affectionately known, was loved by her family and all

those she raised as her own. But most importantly, she loved God. Her love,

dedication, and faith in God brought many to call upon her for prayer.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jefferson Brown; grandson, Kenneth Neil

Fulmore; son-in-law, Earl McKoy; and 17 brothers and sisters.

Sam Ella leaves to cherish beautiful memories and cherished moments, her loving

and devoted daughter, Ella McKoy of the home; stepdaughter, Reverend Alice

(Joseph) Williams-Ellison of Blythewood, SC; grandchildren: India Symone

Fulmore, Gensis Lamour Fulmore, and Jefferson Fulmore, all of Columbia, SC;

great-grandchildren, Jamiyah Michelle Crowell, Iyanah Symphony Lamour

Fulmore, and Ra’juanna Hope, all of Columbia, SC; special nephew, Chief Edward

Burgess of Columbia, SC; special niece, Letha Hannah of Lake City, SC; and a

godchild, Karon Billie of Columbia, SC; as well as a host of other nieces, nephews,

cousins, and many dear friends that loved and cherished her.
