By: Zaineen

Introduction

In the past week we visited some teashops in Yangon, Myanmar for our school project “Where We Live Affects

How We Live” and we learned a lot about where our neighbors live affects how they live. They have very interesting lives and we interviewed them so they shared a lot of things with us about their lives. Now sit

back and enjoy!

This is Daw Than Than Win. She owns a teashop and she was our Interviewee.

She shared a lot of things with us.

Even though she is really old this lady still helps run the teashop and she works quite hard.

Most Buddhist people keep a shrine in their home to pray to the Buddha. This shrine is in Daw Than Than Win's shop.

This is the average grocery store for the people near the teashops. They sell fruits and vegetables, sodas and stuff in packets like potato chips and nuts.

The girl in this picture is helping with house chores. Children in these communities start helping their parents with work at a very tender age.

This is the kitchen in Daw Than Than Win's teashop, her sister is the one who has the main responsibility of cooking.

This is Ma Thin Za Khine and her neighbor friend their parents are Oh Ma Cho and Kyaw Win Shwe.

This is usually how the small children play, it is like a sandbox.

This is a trishaw, they are one of the most popular transportations in Myanmar. People ride them for short distances since taxi's are considered expensive. This is right in front Of Daw Than Than Win's teashop and the trishaw driver is one

of the people who live in this community with his family
