College students who care about skin care, but do not use sunscreenin the middle of a day. The target ischosen because they are highlymotivated.

Sheet-type sunscreen

How it works (1)

Clair is a college student, who extremely cares about her skin.

She always puts sunscreen on face every morning.

However, she often forgets to put sunscreen on hands or neck.

How it works (2)

She manages her schedule, using Outlook schedule.

The schedule is synchronized with her iPhone so she can check the schedule regularly.

How it works (3)

She is given a sheet-type sunscreen. It is small and easy to bring with everyday.

Sunscreen reminder alarm is sent according to her class schedule.

The alarm is set at the timing she is most likely to get exposed to sunshine.(i.e. lunchtime, after-class)

How it works (4)

One day, when she just finished a morning class and is about to have lunch outside.

She noticed the alarm, which reminds her to use sunscreen.

She picks up the sheet-type sunscreen and put it on her hands and neck.

“Yes”: used sunscreen at least once in the middle of a day

“No”: never use sunscreen

What didn’t work (1)

Twitter and Geotag (location function)

- Encourage sunscreen sharing with people in neighborhood.
