Wonders At-A-Glance Weekly Planning Guide for Third Grade
KEY
FAQ’S
1. Why aren’t the ELL leveled reader titles, genres, and page numbers included?
a. I found that in almost every week, the ELL leveled reader was the same title as the on-level reader. However, I have included the page
numbers for the ELL small group instruction. It is in the far right cell, titled Various Page Numbers.
2. I would like to use the grammar/spelling/ tier 2 materials, but I do not think they were given to me. Are they available online?
a. Yes, all the components of the Wonders series are available online on the ConnectEd site. If you are unsure how to access the site, please
contact your technology support representative to obtain a username and password.
3. Why are there two sets of teacher edition page numbers under phonics/spelling?
a. The first set of pages is essentially a lesson plan in your teacher’s edition to introduce and practice the phonics skill(s). The second set of
pages contains a week’s worth of spelling lessons using the actual words on the spelling list.
4. What is the “Weekly Assessment?”
a. The weekly assessment is a workbook that contains a test for each week. These tests are very similar to statewide standardized tests for third
grade. They contain every skill from the week including spelling, grammar, and writing.
T- page numbers in the teacher’s edition. For example, T2 is page 2 in the teacher’s edition.
LA- Literature Anthology. This is one of the student textbooks.
RWW- Reading/Writing Workshop. This is the other student textbook.
Cells with an orange background- Approaching level resources.
Cells with a blue background- On level resources.
Cells with a green background- Beyond level resources.
